I Like ItI Don’t Like It

In an interview with conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin explained her reasoning in going on the attack against Barack Obama. Asked why she was more "forceful" than her running mate, she said: "Rush, I've got nothing to lose in this and I think America's got everything to gain by understanding the differences, the contrasts here between Obama and McCain."

Watch:

Palin also argued that the media wants her to "sit down and shut up," before making an unprompted assault on Obama and ACORN.

Limbaugh: "The media is covering up for him. That is why there's so much admiration for you. The New York Times said you were a great speaker....your forcefulness and your opinions are driving away moderates. This is just an attempt to get you to stop."

Palin: "Well, yes, I guess that message is they do want me to sit down and shut up, but that's not gonna happen. I care too much about this great country. ... Speaking of some of those associations...lets talk quickly about ACORN and the unconscionable situation that we are facing right now with voter fraud, given the ties between Obama and ACORN and the money his campaign has sent them...Obama has a responsibility to reign in ACORN and prove that he is willing to fight voter fraud....for shame if the mainstream media were to cover this one up."

Asked if she had a political career beyond this election, Palin said, "That's a good question. No, because I am thinking about November 4th, and I am just so absolutely passionate about the job that we have in front of us from now to November 4th."

Nothin' to lose except for the election, you betcha. (wink) Makin' it to the Big Leagues isn't something the mavericks on Wasilla Main Street cotton to. (wink)

Really? The media wants you to "sit down and shut up?" No no no, m'dear. That's the conservative chorus you hear. The media has been clammering for as much Sarah as it can get, yet, what's that? You won't even do a single press conference? Only 45 seconds in NY while meeting with foreign dignitaries? I think it's the rational right that's been hoping you'd "shut up", since the wider your mouth gets the wider Obama's lead gets. As an Illinois Obama supporter for nearly a decade now, I LOVE IT when they "let Sarah be Sarah".

Imagine:

The mouth becomes a chasm into which fall Bu$h, Ch3ney, R0ve, R!ce, McC@in et. al. Then, Pai.in herself is consumed.

I wish I could draw!

Again, the neo-con approach comes from the professional wrestling world: smash the chair over the head of your opponent while claiming yourself to be a victim of your opponent's violence. The GOP has raised the art of red meat, low-brow entertainment to a fine art. It's still low-brow, and it's all theater.

Palin, shallow in her knowledge base and unable to move beyond the boundaries of her incompetence, is following a script. When she says that the media wants her to sit down and shut up, she's doing so while... talking to the media.

If we can all recall, Palin has been invited to media appearances by the dozen, most of which she refused to accept. And we know why: Palin can't stand on her own two feet with follow-up questions. She wants to maintain her elusiveness as a form of protection. If she's a moving target, she can't be held accountable for her nonsense. That's just common sense that anyone from the midwest can perceive more quickly than a strand of hair floating in a morning cup of coffee.

How can you lose something you don't have, Sarah?

Like knowledge, experience, integrity or intelligence .

Dumbo talking to Bimbo!

Thousands of comedians out of work and we've got to listen to this?

Bobby McGee, is that you? We are going to let you slip away to the home you are looking for, in Alaska, November 4th. You, Home, Go!

She may have nothing to lose but America has much to lose starting with our shirts thanks to the $700 billion bailout that may or may not work. And the progress we've made in race relations. Granted we aren't perfect, but what they are doing could set things back 40 years. We worked for what we have. Lets keep it. What else? How about our worldwide reputation (already damaged by the Bush administration). I could go on but I'm sure you all get my drift.

Palin, who helped build your $500,000 house in Alaska??? How about, the same company that built the Wasilla recreation complex, and helped build the addition on Ted Stevens house???

There is an excellent video clip over at Andrew Sullivan's site of two young, very articulate Alaskan women summing up Sarah Palin.

Gov. Palin? You've unfortunately already lost a lot of your R-E-S-P-E-C-T among many female independent voters...

My hope for Sarah Palin is that she becomes a dim memory very soon. I'm sure Alaskans have seen through her and will either consider impeaching her or, at the very least, not reelecting her to any position representing her beloved Alaska. Otherwise, the state should secede and, crown her queen!

So in other words "you don't have a dog in this fight". You did say you were a pitbull, so you must be the dog in this fight. It fits.
