WASHINGTON — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton puts the chances of her running for president again at near zero _ slightly higher than the chances she gives for becoming Senate majority leader or a Supreme Court justice.

In an interview aired Tuesday on "Fox & Friends" on the Fox News Channel, Clinton, D-N.Y., was asked the chances, on a scale of 1 to 10, that she would be the next majority leader in the Senate.

"Oh, probably zero," she said. "I'm not seeking any other position than to be the best senator from New York that I can be."

Being nominated to the Supreme Court?

"Zero," Clinton said. "I have no interest in doing that."

Running for president again?

"Probably close to zero," she said. "There's an old saying: Bloom where you're planted."

The former first lady, who was elected to the Senate in 2000 and re-elected in 2006, said she looked forward to working as a senator with a Barack Obama administration.

Sure she can, but she does not have to advertise it that early.
Good politician never does.

Even after eight years she will still be younger than Mc Cane.

Even though I supported Obama in the primary, I'm actually kind of disappointed to hear that Hillary won't run again. I personally think she would make an excellent Supreme Court justice.

When she says close to zero, I think that's probably because she wouldn't plan to run unless McCain wins this year...and that's not looking all that likely!

In the spirit of unity, let me just say how proud I am of the Democrats for producing such an EXCELLENT slate of candidates - we really hit the jackpot this year.

Obama, Clinton, Biden, Dodd, Richardson...

Truly, the best and the brightest in the nation.

Compare this to the pathetic Republican slate..Anyone of our candidates would have been better than anything they have to offer.

Tell me, is the water really THAT contaminated where you live? Barack Obama, Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich were the only ones worth a damn. Of course, I'm talking integrity. I don't know what scale you're using, but it's in bad need of calibration.

Hillary, I did not vote for you because I favored the policies and electability of Barack Obama. however, you are a most gifted Senator and I hope that at the end of your career as Senator (hopefully not for many years) you will be revered like Ted Kennedy. You can do it--you are smart and understand politics in the Congress.

I wish you all the best of luck. I'm sure I will be proud of your actions.

Hillary and her senate record is not at all impressive. Hillary is an opportunist and the illuminati,
whatever that means. Hillary has way too much dirt on her to run again.

Hillary is a self-serving opportunist who has built a "career' riding on her husbands back. The only thing she has done as a Senator is vote for the War In Iraq and run for president. Thank goodness Democrative primary voters were wise enough to see through the "inevitablity" and "highly experienced and qualified" spin and reject Hillary as a presidential candidate. She would lead the nation like she led her campaign: right into a ditch.

Hillary and Bill laid the foundation for McCain mean, dishonest, divisive campaign. Every distortion he has put out there, Bill and Hillary said it first.

Hillary not only will not be president. She is in her last term as Senator, unless maybe she moves back to Arkansas. The people of New York do not like being used.

Hilary watched Ted Kennedy become the lion of the Senate, and how important he become in shaping this country from that seat of power.

Well, we'll see what she says when the time comes around again

or when other offers are made. It's all just talk now.

I hope to see Hillary as senate majority leader. Harry just stinks! Hillary would kick a*** and take names. I bet if asked she would do it, it just wouldnt sound right to say so at this time.

Hillary is such a talented person. I feel that, in the Senate, she still has a large role to fulfill as one of the voices to help shape national policy.

I know that there that there are a lot of sore feelings regarding her campaign against Obama and vice-versa. But let's get real people! The Republicans have had a tremendous advantage over us in that they have been able to close ranks and get their candidates elected. They have even been able to be united despite a ridiculous choice like McCain and Sarah Palin. Let's put away the divisiveness and get the job done -- put Obama and Biden into the White House!
