WASHINGTON — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton puts the chances of her running for president again at near zero _ slightly higher than the chances she gives for becoming Senate majority leader or a Supreme Court justice.

In an interview aired Tuesday on "Fox & Friends" on the Fox News Channel, Clinton, D-N.Y., was asked the chances, on a scale of 1 to 10, that she would be the next majority leader in the Senate.

"Oh, probably zero," she said. "I'm not seeking any other position than to be the best senator from New York that I can be."

Being nominated to the Supreme Court?

"Zero," Clinton said. "I have no interest in doing that."

Running for president again?

"Probably close to zero," she said. "There's an old saying: Bloom where you're planted."

The former first lady, who was elected to the Senate in 2000 and re-elected in 2006, said she looked forward to working as a senator with a Barack Obama administration.

Can't say I blame her after all the punches she took. I am sure the whole experience aged her about 20 years and was just exhausting.

She wasn't exaclty a media darling.

I think it will be hard for a woman to run for the highest office in the United States. No matter who she is.

Nonsense. She was a media darling until Obama came along.

"Mark my words:

Um, she's never been a judge before. I wouldn't hold your breath.

obama/clinton would not have worked
competing camps would lead to divided party
obama as president does not need to be undermined by the media focusing too much attention on the VP
picking a VP who may consciously or unconsciously compete for "position" would be a bad start

Frankly, I am beginning to take her at her word. Hillary Clinton is already one of the most well known women on the planet. I started out as a huge Hillary fan in 1992, waivered in the years since, supporting her at times and still others remaining reticient about her. But, I believe, ironically enough, that if Hillary Clinton liberates herself of Presidential ambition and just goes about trying to achieve her life long policy goals, including working with Obama/Biden to deliver health care to the American people, her unique voice, stellar intellect will result in a clammoring for her to succeed President Obama. Then she will have no choice but to run again. Regardless, if history has placed her in the Senate to create a legacy there, it would not be the worst thing for the American people. Never write off Hilllary Clinton.

Thank you, Hillary, for vocalizing your reality. There is much you can do, and much you can accomplish in the Senate. We need you there to be a strong supporter of the Obama administration.

God love ya, Hillary - you are one smart lady. I think she's being coy about the senate majority leader....I think that would be a great job for her.

She can't say she is likely considering another run, because then what are we to make of what she is doing now? She's a Clinton, believe her at your own risk.

She may be considering another run but is smart enough not to steal Obama's thunder right now. Say whatever you want about Hillary (I like her!!), she is loyal to her party and has done all and more of what was expected of her. Class act.

Dean's 50-state strategy is winning the election for Obama. I presume you are a gop?
