WASHINGTON — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton puts the chances of her running for president again at near zero _ slightly higher than the chances she gives for becoming Senate majority leader or a Supreme Court justice.

In an interview aired Tuesday on "Fox & Friends" on the Fox News Channel, Clinton, D-N.Y., was asked the chances, on a scale of 1 to 10, that she would be the next majority leader in the Senate.

"Oh, probably zero," she said. "I'm not seeking any other position than to be the best senator from New York that I can be."

Being nominated to the Supreme Court?

"Zero," Clinton said. "I have no interest in doing that."

Running for president again?

"Probably close to zero," she said. "There's an old saying: Bloom where you're planted."

The former first lady, who was elected to the Senate in 2000 and re-elected in 2006, said she looked forward to working as a senator with a Barack Obama administration.

Don't say that Hilary! I didn't support you this time around because I think Obama is better for country, given its current state. After seeing the national travesty that we know affectionately as Parrot Palin, you are definitely a serious candidate should you chose to run again in the future.

She'll be 69 and circumstances can change in 8 years. Her only real chance was this year and she sort of blew it.

It won't be 8 years; it will be 4 years.

She likely has read the tea leaves and seen an Obama victory and re-election in 2012. That would make her 69 by the time her number came up. Too late.

If she gets universal health care through Obama, she will still feel she's made history and done the nation good. May her ambitions be calmed and her life be satisfying as it is.

Obama has no interest in universal health care. That's never going to happen in an Obama administration.

True be known, I don't think he wants it either. He wants to help cerntainly. He knows ppl are suffering, but I don't think he wants universal coverage.

Something tells me if Obama wins and named her as a Supreme Court justice, she'd take it in a heartbeat.

Is she considered qualified in the law for such a position by the consensus of political elites? This is not a baited question, I am not an american and I don't know the answer.

What about Secretary of State? What about ATtorney General? There are a whole lot of places Hillary can do wonderful things in this coming administration.

I don't think she'd want to serve in an administration run by that joker. I wouldn't want to work for a boss who has made it clear hundreds of times that he's happy to "use" me, but he really doesn't like me.

Hillary loves to be on the frontlines, working with people, shaping policy, etc. Supreme court justice is to withdrawn, to aloof. You can't express your feelings and opinions outside cases like she enjoys doing. I think she would like it for a while, but soon would become miserable.

If Hillary wants to run again, so be it. She'd probably be successful next time around. I don't begrudge her that.

It is my goal to get in touch with someone from the Obama campaign and share with them my desire to be a part of his inauguration by reciting a poem I wrote called “We Must Change,” and I kindly ask for your help in doing so.
Go to youtube and do a search for "thinkverybig" and watch all of those videos. The one called "We Must Change" would be fitting to recite at Obama's Inauguration

I don't believe anything she says. She told Tim Russert a while back that she had no plans to run for President, then look what happened. She's saying this now as to not infringe upon Obama's moment. Of course she'll probably run again. She won't win, but I'm sure she'll run. She'll just say she thought it over and changed her mind.

DebofMD...

But when Obama told Tim Russert several times he would NOT run, he was being truthful and that's different??? Are you saying, by your statement, WE can NOT believe anything Obama says???

You sound like a fair-minded person. So, I'm sure you reserve the same incredulity for Obama, who said in 04 and 05 that he had no plans to run for President, and pledged that he would serve out his term.

Exactly, my friend, I saw and heard them both on "Meet the Press." But Clinton and Obama are both politicians and require the latitude to change their minds. It would be a wonderful thing if half the world stopped living in La La land and expected politicians to be any other way.

I was a Clinton supporter and was torn between Obama & Hillary at the beginning. What I did not like was the race-baiting and the ugly way that she attacked Obama, all while she edified McCain. I did not like their(The Clinton's) attitude after Obama had won the primaries and if the truth be told...I am not that impressed with her now! I do realize that some of her supporters were rogue repugs, I knew that and so did Hillary, and yet she has been very cautious with the women that are supporting Palin, and she has been quite pleasant when speaking of Palin or McCain! I believe that the only reason Hillary feels that she will not run for president is because Obama is ahead although she tried to stay neutral in case he lost and she and Palin would fight over the female votes...since she nor Palin has been interested in the African American vote!

You're not gonna get Universal Health care. Take a look at what's happening in Massachusetts. Our program is turning out to be a disaster.

That has to be difficult watching the sunset of a long held ambition. It explains much about her behavior and that of President Clinton. I really like these two people though they tested my patience during the primary. Whatever she does, I hope she is happy. She has more than most any of us will ever see in a lifetime in terms of public accomplishments. Is there no satisfaction? What has come out about the Bush administration is that it operated in perpetual campaign mode. They never stopped running and that explains much about what we have witnessed over the last eight years. Stop running Mrs. Clinton and take stock of how blessed you already are. You probably are a Type A personality, but that can suck when plans do not work out.

Obama supporters show some restraint a ignore the Republicans here that are pretending to be Democrats. They are on the verge of being blown out and they know it, the only thing they have left is to try to distract and divide you from talking about the real issues such as bringing our soldiers home from IRAQ, the Economy, Health Care, Equal Pay, Education, Etc. Stay focused and we will win this Election!

Please call and volunteer at your local Obama headquarters.

The Republicans will really begin to ramp up their voter suppression drive and we need you everyone

to help get out the vote and make sure the Republicans dont steel this away from us this time.

VOLUNTEER AND GET OUT THE VOTE!
