New York Times:

If Senator John McCain has more to say publicly about his time in a North Vietnamese prison before next month's election, it will not be with help from Warner Brothers.

The studio moved quietly over the last few weeks to block any promotional showing of an interview -- tied to the release of the first DVD version of the 1987 film "Hanoi Hilton" -- in which Senator McCain spoke of his imprisonment in the Hoa Lo prison during the Vietnam War. The studio is concerned that any pre-election showing might embroil the project in electoral politics.

"It's just us trying to be cautious and not affect the election one way or the other," said Ronnee Sass, a spokeswoman for the studio's home entertainment division.

If they have something that the American people ought to have a right to know which could shed light on McCain so that people could fully understand him..... then they should have a moral obligation to reveal it. Especially if it calls into question anything we have a right to know prior to this vote.

For example. Look at Bush. If we had known prior to the Nov. 2000 election alot of what was kept hidden from the public eye by the media, then he would have never been elected. And as we also found out through Bush, once you get someone like that in Office, it's next to impossible to have them removed.

So please, please, do not let us make this insane mistake again!!!! Tear down the walls! Tear down the walls!! Expose them before their very peers. Tear down the walls!!

Apologies to Pink Floyd. ;o)

Hello to all commentators,

All the commercials, pundits, gaffes, personal attacks, and the MSM will not dictate the outcome of this election. THE GROUND GAME IS WHERE ELECTIONS ARE WON, AND LOST!

Before you go to the next left leaning article to comment on, or right leaning article to start an argument with a republican (which will no doubt end with them calling you an unpatriotic socialist wimp) May I suggest that you get in the game.

Please visit my personal fundraising page below:

If you cannot afford to donate money there are many other ways to help below :

Take a look. It is a lot of fun, and very satisfying to get involved. You will really feel as though you are making a difference.

Thanks Craig

If the media had any idea how uninformed they look to the public they should read Obama's own books. Obama in his own book " Audacity of Hope ", said, " I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction. " and from his book " From Dreams of my Father ", he said, " I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race. " and " I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites. "
Clearly Obama is racist, and he has clearly stated that it will not be Americans he will stand with. WAKE UP!!

Rather than exhorting people to wake up, perhaps you should learn not to blatantly misquote out of context, since you (ha!) call yourself a "real journalist."

"Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." - Barack Obama

Hey, to persecute people for nothing more than their national origin - what Obama was clearly talking about - is, by definition, racism.

Real journalist, my Aunt Fanny.

A Real Journalist? I don't think so. In this day and age your ignorance is pitiful.

I hope that includes interviews with POW's who were in the same hotel as John McCain, and I hope they include the thirty two propoganda tapes he made for the vietcong, and the information he gave them which eventually cost American lives, but more than likely it's whitewash!

Under the circumstances how appropriate is that.

McCain-Palin said: drill baby drill and the lioness of senate said jobs baby jobs.

Please share this video to 20 people until election day to remind everyone not to be fooled again.

Below is the video:

If the interview shows 'Singbird' McCain singing and selling out his fellow servicemen -- which it's been suggested the interviews will in fact show -- then why not let them out? Why continue to bow down before the McCain mythology? Let's expose it to the light of day for what it is.

I've seen so much POW coverage of McCain I can probably recite it verbatim. There's the video of him in the water after being shot down; on a bed being fed; on a bed saying he loves his wife; others and then being released. What more do we need to see?

A POW who was with McCain said McCain's POW status is the base of his campaign and it is.

It would be perceived as a McCain endorsement and taken as free publicity by the campaign.

No reason for them to get involved in it one way or the other. I wouldn't want to see them throwing out Obama flicks either. That hyper stylized, over produced stuff has a greater impact on people than it should.

The Rebublicans are throwing McCain under the bus,
so that after this election they can say,
"WE didn't lose. HE did."

Merely point of view.
When we captured people in Afghanistan, we sent them to Gitmo as war criminals (or enemy combatants, to use the euphemism). When McCain was captured he was sent to prison as a war criminal for dropping bombs that no doubt killed plenty of people. Point of view.

Sure is. Like "terrorists" vs. "freedom" fighters". "If policemen fight crime, and firefighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight?"- George Carlin (I sure miss you, buddy).

I think this flim would be irelevent to our future. The American people do not like his war and hate message. It is so over in the minds of the people but not in the minds of MaCain and Palin

I think it's a good move.
I don't know the bent of the movie but with all the crap being spewed about Obama if this contains crap on McCain it would just serve as further justification to elevate the mud being thrown at Obama & we just don't need it.
Peace. Chap"Hussein"man

I don't like McCain...he doesn't have my vote. BUT, this is such a blatantly obvious ploy by WB to influence the election under the guise of "not influencing the election". What they mean is that they don't want to influence anyone who just might change their vote to McCain after watching such a movie.

If we want to stand for the "truth", then we should do so at all times, in all places, in all circumstances. NOT just when it is convenient.
