'Angry McCain' At Final Debate Already Famous On YouTube

As much as cable pundits seemed to agree that John McCain had his strongest debate yet this evening, most also saw his constant grimacing as his performance's biggest drawback.

On Fox News, Brit Hume charitably described McCain as sporting a "peculiar" expression on his face while listening to Obama. "I don't know," he then said to conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer, who agreed that Obama, by contrast, was a man of "remarkable self-containment."

On CNN, Gloria Berger predicted that McCain's grimaces would become an enduring media narrative.

Seeking to help that media frame along is a new YouTube video, forwarded to the Huffington Post by some Democratic activists, which cuts together McCain's most awkward moments to the sounds of the Gnarls Barkley song "Crazy."

The last time we had a leader lose his temper, we ended up in Iraq.

Amen. That's the number one reason to vote against McPalin. McCain acts first, and regrets later, and Palin simply acts.

Ok, make that the number two reason. The number one reason is that Obama has the right stuff to be our best president in decades.

Explain the "right stuff"

That's probably the most uninformed response I have ever seen.

I think people are missing the obvious: that McCain's campaign had him on some serious medication to get him through the debate. The signs were all there. At the top he was blinking non-stop, almost over alert and perky, in the middle he started getting angry, and towards the end he was losing coherence and couldn't control the faces he was making. These behaviors and rhythms are the exact same as someone who is high and then starts coming down. The two year campaign has worn him down, and his team (doctors included) are just trying to get him across the finish line.

Anger is not really the point here, because John Kennedy had a temper and George W. Bush's is well known. The POINT is his POOR JUDGMENT! He panders to the female vote and jeapordizes this nation's security by selecting an inexperienced woman to back him up should the need arise; he calls for a long presence in Iraq when EVEN THE IRAQI'S have said they want us out by 2011; he supported Bush 90% of the time on issues and policies that have proven to be a disaster; he supported legislation to end oversight and regulation of Wall Street crooks; he introduced legislation to abolish AMTRAK during a time when gasoline prices were rising and our rail system was needed; and finally, he chose to run a campaign which destroyed his honor and integrity just to try and win an election. Good and Wise Choices John! NOT!

I heard a caller on talk radio call in and say, "McCain looked like someone put a slug in his es-car-go!!!"

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 05:37 PM on 10/18/2008

There was one point in the debate where I swore it looked like Mccain was going to bitch slap Obama...His demeanor just told me why I would not want "That guy" (McCain) anywhere near any big red buttons!! He looked like he was having severe gas pains at times!

They are very angry people. Like the leader they love. A glaring comparison at the last debate of humanity/diplomacy/temperance vs. contempt/anger/disdain.

I so hope the election proves that we aspire to the first. If the majority root for the second, this country is not what they think it is ... and I do not want to be a part of that. They look like they're ready to kill someone.

Thank you Bademus for posting the truth.

We saw the same reactions when registering folks to vote.

We are chased off lawns, called N**er Lovers, Terrorists, Baby Killers, told to Go to Hell, God was going to punish us.

I reported it here. But I think many just thought me an alarmist or was making things up.

But now you all SEE! You can see for yourselves. I was telling the TRUTH!

All the best

This is the type of foolishness that Sarah Palin and the McCain campaign brings out in people. Sad, sad, sad.

This is the reason we don't need McCain in office.
