A man's body was found this afternoon in the basement of a Lakeview restaurant.

The body was discovered about 2:20 p.m. in the basement of a building at 2834 N. Southport Ave. after police responded to a 911 call. An online telephone directory lists Lucca's Restaurant at that address.

A woman who answered the phone at the restaurant said "everything is fine here," but declined further comment.
