The "sinking" campaign is rising in the polls. As I have noted before, pollsters tend to stop lying, report the truth, and thus get more accurate the closer to the election.
Is McCain leading in ANY of the national polls? Is he tied or leading in ALL of the swing states (and as of right now he has to win ALL of them in order to become President)?
The answer is a resounding no.
The race will "tighten", but not enough to help John McCain. He has to effectively flip Colorado, Virginia, Florida, Missouri, Ohio, and North Carolina from where they are right now in order to win this election. The popular vote DOES NOT MATTER according to the Supreme Court (even though Obama will win the popular vote anyway). What DOES matter is the electoral college. I've yet to see a realistic scenario where McCain wins the electoral college. Please, inform me, how does McCain flip EVERY SINGLE ONE of those swing states back into his direction with 18 days left in the campaign?
And where is your proof that pollsters are "lying." Were the pollsters lying when they pretty much called the Bush/Kerry outcome in early October of '04? Or is it only lying when they show a democrat ahead? Thus far, Obama has not trailed in a SINGLE national poll in October. McCain hasn't even been tied in a SINGLE one. The race isn't over, but polling history does not back up the weak argument you are trying to make.
If you are convinced that the SINKING campaign is not, in fact, SINKING and that pollsters are lying about where things stand in the presidential race, why didn't you volunteer in your post that the skipper of the SINKING campaign is going to win the election? Answer: that SINKING feeling you are experiencing in your stomach won't allow you to lie to yourself. LOL!!!

You are right. The pollsters will get honest the closer to the election, which is why Mccain is starting to lose even his RED STATES to Obama. Pollsters are tending to stop lying (TO THEMSELVES) and will vote their conscience.

Since her name has come up, Lesley Sanchez is a one-way street. She defends the indefensible. thse people should not be given airtime. We already know what they're going to say. Find people who are more balance, for heaven's sake.

I hate Kyra Phillips. She blatantly disses Roland Martin and then messes up when she introduces Leslie Sanchez and tries to laugh her way out of it. Kyra has long been a mouthpiece for the Republican Party inside of CNN, and her myriad of slip-ups, gaffes, and mishaps have caused many a headache for the HR and PR departments. Remember, this is the same person who indirectly chastised an Iraqi orphan amputee because he was against our invasion. She also accused the Democratic Party of "smearing" Karl Rove. This woman has got to go, and when she receives her walking papers, don't be surprised to see her on Fox News.

I'm looking at this from a couple of angles. One is my own, and another is an attempt to see how the media "might" see things.
For myself, I've been swearing for a very long time now, and I'm, of course, not the only one.
So, depending on the situation, it doesn't really bother me greatly.
Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's clear that the person behind the words means you ill, sometimes it's just a part of the person's language.
Moving on to what I think happened, it's almost scripted the way this woman said it. Like she's taking a jocular stab at the other woman, calling her a c**t. But that's just how it sounded to me.
It could genuinely have been a slip-up. Either way, it's probably much ado about nothing.
