David Duchovny And Tea Leoni Announce Separation

David Duchovny, who recently left rehab for sex addiction, and wife Téa Leoni released a statement Wednesday saying they have been separated for some time.

"In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months," the statement says. "The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children."

Duchovny, 48, has been married to actress Leoni since 1997. They have two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.

Well my original comment was apparently a bit "blue" so it didn't make it.

I really thought these two were cool together and it's sad when anyone breaks up. Since we aren't inside their marriage we can't know what actually happened, and we certainly can't place the blame. Maybe there is no blame. Sometimes stuff just happens.

I still think Billy Bob is creepy and between the two I'd go for DD in a heartbeat and it's a no go for BB. But we're all looking in from the outside, at image because we don't actually know about the substance, so it's all speculation.

That said, yeah, I have a crush on David Duchovny. I mean, I have a crush on the guy I've invented out of whole cloth based on my two-dimensional observations of a guy I don't know.

FYI: it hasn't been confirmed that Hep C is transmitted through sexual contact. It is considered a blood pathogen; meaning there must be an open wound or blood to blood contact.

Making a marriage work is difficult for anyone. For people in the entertainment industry, it is doubly so. They are constantly exposed to temptation, booze, and drugs, and even without the booze and drugs it's hard to say no to temptation.

They both seem like very nice people, sorry to hear they broke up.

I have to admit to loving Californication with Duchovny. HOWEVER, after finding out that he was in treatment for SA, the show is making me a bit queasy in this new season. How much of this series is autobiographical on DD's part? Betcha they don't make a Season 3.

I actually feel bad for this Hollywood couple, and that is a rarity.
