You know I always liked Wonder Woman too but what's she really saying that we don't already know? Yeah, I know she's a celebrity but what kind of influence does she really still have? There are a lot of good people out there (and I'm not including myself and my friend who helped created the website)- who have been ripping Palin for a long time. Thanks to sites, I see people who have been at Palin longer than me, obviously. There are a lot of good people out there with good causes...go visit them too...

For all the Republican folks who continue to object to "celebrities" having a political opinion, please keep in mind that Lynda Carter was responding to a question, and so was Matt Damon when he made that hilarious comparison to a Disney Movie. Most of the celebs will generally not offer up opinions unless they are asked specifically. In contrast, Sarah will not answer a specific question, and will instead answer the questions of her choice.

Second, if the overwhelming majority of Hollywood celebs were Republicans, I'm sure that you would have no issue at all with them stating their political thoughts.

The 1st Amendment applies to all citizens, not just the "holier than thou patriotic right", so have some respect for the Constitution, and also, let us see more Chuck Norris (a has been, and never really was an actor in the first place") speaking politics on national TV... It's just so entertaining :)

I had forgotten until just this minute, that many, many years ago I met Lynda Carter. A friend of mine brought her to the restaurant to join us for dinner. Of course she would not re_member me. I recall thinking to myself how grounded and nice she was. Lynda is just as lovely in-person as she is on TV and intelligent, too.

I agree with Lynda wrt Palin. I've never seen a woman quite as divisive and mean as Sarah Palin. I believe she is in way over her head.

There are two things that really bother me about Palin more than anything else: 1) she lies and thinks nothing of it and 2) she incites hatred and does nothing to stop it!

Today the Obama Philadelphia campaign headquarters received a letter containing white powder. Thankfully it turned out to be sugar. What if the person who sent the letter had attended a McCain/Palin rally? What if the powder had been dangerous ? Whomever sent it committed a felony.

There is such a thing called personal responsibility and common sense both of which are seriously absent in McCain and Palin. There are some lines you do not cross, period. Calling your opponent a 'terrorist' and/or a traitor goes way over that boundary.

Lynda Carter is correct Palin is dangerous. And for choosing her to be his running-mate makes John McCain equally dangerous. IMHO.

Put on the outfit and whip Sarah's butt. She's a former hoopster, so she should be up for some UFC action.

Another opinion from a has-been entertainer. Why should I care what she thinks? I have a brain, and I use it with no help from a TV-comic book character. But, thank you very much Linda for your opinion.

OUCH! Calling someone a "has been" and probably wouldn't know her if she passed you in the street.
She was asked a question and answered it. You are just as free to post so we know your opinions.

Mank:
I did just that, and received two ad-hominem attacks for it. From inclusive and open minded liberals or progressives. I do remember when she was Wonder Woman on TV. You are right, though, I probably would not recognize her if I passed her on the street, hence my comment.
Passenger57:
I also do not care what Jon Voight has to say, either. I just get very tired of hearing the opinions of "celebrities" as though they are more insightful or more informed than anyone else.
Happycat: Yes, I am quite aware of where my brain is, and that it is functioning properly. Thanks for your concern.

Are you sure you have a brain? If I were you I would check again. Maybe you are sitting on it.

Yeah - just like Jon Voight, right? Who's he think he is - writing an whole Op-Ed in the New York Times against Obama?
You're not supposed to 'care' what she thinks,Pquilson! You think she's trying to change your mind? Like she even knows who you are? She just answered a question, and somehow it's about you.
I think a lot of Republicans have a guilty conscience...they KNOW their guy McCain is not ready for the Big House, they know Palin is ready for the Nut House, but they think they have to stick with them-all the way to the bottom.

Just because someone is an actor or actress, doesn't mean they don't have pertinent information to share. I mean hello...Ronald Reagan?

Celebrities are influential. They may not influence you, but there are many who are swayed by the opinions of stars.

And there's no need to attack Mrs. Carter because a journalist felt compelled to report her opinion. This woman is a mother and a wife and seems quite happy with her (out of the limelight) life. She is no has been. She is living her life.

You sound bitter Pquilson...Don't hate the player...hate the game.

Great Hera! Wasn't Ms. Carter once married to a Reagan or Bush 41 supporter?

How funny. When I was a child, I wanted to be Wonder Woman. Not the Comic Book Wonder Woman but the Linda Carter Wonder Woman. Now as a grown woman I know why....Way to Go Diana...I mean Linda
