Fox May Adjust World Series Time For Obama Half Hour Prime Time Special

NEW YORK -- Barack Obama might have the power to move the World Series for a few minutes.

To accommodate the half-hour Obama time buy that will air Oct. 29 on CBS and NBC, Fox Broadcasting is asking Major League Baseball to move the start time of World Series Game 6 by about 15 minutes. That would move the time from 8:20 p.m. or so ET to 8:35 p.m.

If a Game 6 is needed, Fox would be obligated to carry the game instead of joining CBS and NBC in running the commercial from the Obama campaign. It would also be saying goodbye to upward of $1 million in ad revenue for the half hour, more than what either CBS or NBC was charging.

If Obama pre-empts the World Series then baseball fans should vote McCain.

I'm a baseball fan and only watch faux then (Nascar too - see, a liberal Nascar Dad, hope your head explodes) but would have to be pretty stupid to base my vote on the fact the game was delayed 15 minutes. Maybe we won't have to hear Zelasko...

So are you saying you would vote for Obama if the game was started at the original time?

This is for those white racists who love Fox News. At least they get the truth straight from Obama himself and not from Hannity Insanity and the other talking head dimwits.

Good for Obama. He can buy an election just like everyone else has it the past. The system works!

Why is Obama wasting money on Fox?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:46 AM on 10/16/2008

He wants everyone's votes. The more the merrier.

An ad on Fox probably offers him the best bang for the money.

Fox prime time channel is different than Fox News channel.

Moving Baseball might be accepted by the fans if the 1/2 hour Obama Ad is inspiring, informative and appeals to America's higher consiousness. Better be an awesome Ad. Voting Obama/Biden NC tomorrow.

And yet FoxNews.com is playing it like Obama is making the MLB wait, just for him!! When it comes down to it, it's Fox who's doing it because they want his money, all while blaming Obama!

Why not? Sounds ok to me, gives the kids a few more minutes to do their homework before the game, and Mom and Dad can have some quality time together while listening to the next POTUS. Afterwards, the family can split up into the Project Runway/World Series groups and everyone is happy!
