I Like ItI Don’t Like It

David Gergen, veteran of Republican and Democratic administrations, put it succinctly just now on CNN: McCain "looked angry. It was an exercise in anger management up there."

Later, Gergen remarked on McCain's visible contempt for Obama, saying "There were times he brought back memories of Bob Dole in 1996" and "The looks and the disdain and the contempt and the anger that he felt was palpable."

Later in CNN's broadcast, after Campbell Brown ran down CNN's poll results (an overall Obama win, a win for Obama among independents, Obama wins on questions about healthcare, and even taxes), Anderson Cooper asked Gergen what he would say to McCain about what the message should be going forward, in light of these results. Gergen replied, "Beats the hell out of me," adding later, "See if you can leave this with your honor in tact."

There is no way that McCain will be able to handle foreign leaders with that attitude. He is likely to scold or offend other leaders and could have some hefty consequences.....He is not ready to be president....So seeing that Obama won this one - I guess that's a clean sweep of 4 debates....The people are ready to vote....Let's get this over and done with....

Hide the grenades and assult rifles, if mccain wins he could end up shooting a forgien leader from his anger issues.

I am so disappointed with Senator McCain. Whether they are the best person for the Presidency or not, national heroes are in short supply and needed in this country. Until this campaign season started, John McCain was a national hero. He is now in much need of redemption. Let's see if the comeback kid can restore hs honor and dignity before he retires from public life.

Yeah, he could get on the O train and help change this county! That's if he doesn't lose that seat in the future. That's ALL that's left for him to do. LOL VOTE OBAMA-BIDEN 08!

McCain is the 21st century version of Faustus. Or maybe Rumpelstilskin.

I agree what everything that has ben said, but I STILL don't have any faith in the American people to do what is right. For mccain to sit there and say that the crazy shouts at his rallies was a few nut jobs is just blind. There are many republicans that believe the same things, just look around at various websites and read their vile and twisted thoughts. I use to half way respect repubs, but now I hate them, they are the worst. I use to respect and like Mccain, but not now. He has ruined it. How could him be a president when he has burned so many bridges and his followers have angered so many.

The thing is, there are not that many Republicans. Not enough, at least. We can do this!

McCain has shown over the course of the campaign that he is temperamentally unsuitable for the White House. He personally despises Obama, not because of anything about Obama personally, but because Obama dares to blunt his ambitions. I suspect he would have treated Hillary Clinton with equal or greater contempt.

McCain has been impetuous, rude, quixotic and unstable throughout the campaign. He cannot justify his pick of Palin in any way other than a gimmick. His "suspension" of his campaign was another gimmick. His performance at the debates beats any antics of any Presidential candidate on a televised debate, while his running mate was barely able to read her note cards, let alone "debate".

McCain's campaign is based on the notion that Obama is too "risky". I would have a hard time sleeping at night with McCain & Palin running the White House.

The most frightening aspect of McCain's inability to appear unruffled is the prospect of him as President, meeting with other heads of state in an international setting. He would, like the proverbial bull in a china shop, engender friction and cause major misunderstandings in handling delicate diplomatic situations. Referring to Biden's proposal for three autonomus regions within Iraq as a "cockamamie" idea is a perfect example of how to inflame passions by using incendiary language.
Diplomatic Relations 101.

Obama's calm demeanor is indicative of his self-control and tactfulness, a man who does not allow his mood or temper to be manipulated by his opponent. McCain seemed ready for a barroom brawl.

Definitely not presidential material.

What I saw was an pasty angry white man with a sense of entitlement that is pissed because an upstart man of color is on the verge of denying him his presupposed birthright.

I don't think that McCain has anything against Obama's race or personality. He just has to personalize campaigns. McCain would have treated Clinton, Edwards or even his erstwhile friend, John Kerry, with equal contempt.

Imagine how McCain would run our foreign policy with this character flaw!

Why is McCain so Angry, flustered, Mean, Cruel, evil, Hurtful and full of hate? OMG! I have never seen a Presidential Canidate so P*ssed off. It truely saddens me that he can not controll himself. He is almost like a child that was told 'no' for the first time and can not understand why he can not have it.

Anger Management is right. I do not want his hot hands on the 'red button' I tolerated him years ago, because he was a war hero, but now....I think he needs some professional help.

In old age, we often return to what worked for us as children.
Bio's say that when McCain was just a tad, when the world was young,
he'd hold his breath until he'd get his way. Will that still work, you've got to wonder.

Barrack scored another knock out and right now the McCain campaign is in the hole big time. However, let's not get complacent. We can never, EVER rule out the possibility of the unexpected. Which is why it is sooo important that we do what we can to get people out to vote for Obama.

We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious. They stole it from us. Wicked, tricksy, false! Yes, precious, false! They will cheat you, hurt you, LIE. He wants the precious. Always he is looking for it. And the precious is wanting to go back to him... But we mustn't let him have it!

It's a 'Lord of the Rings' thing...

'The One Ring was created by the Dark Lord Sauron during the Second Age in order to gain dominion over the free peoples of Middle-earth. ... He intended it to be the most powerful of all Rings.' ... (Wikipedia)

If you aren't familiar with Gollum from Lord of the Rings, it's kind of hard to explain. It's like one of those "you had to be there moments", you can't really explain it after.

I hope all of America saw McCain struggling to keep his anger in check. And I hope America saw Obama eloquently put the William Ayers "issue" to rest once and for all. Now which one would make the better President? Someone who show restraint even though someone is clearly lying about them or someone who's impulsive and could possibly have a Three Mile Island meltdown?

Off topic but laughable...The Wall Street is a funny news organization. Before the first debate even took place they proclaimed McCain as having won the debate. Today Thursday, October 16, 2008 a day after the debate and I quote here. “McCain and Obama prepared for their final debate… to be held at Hofstra University…” These news organization needs to leave the past and future alone and get on with the present

McCain's closing remarks said it all, he had to bring in his father and grandfather, all serving the country - like he deserves to be president because of who his father and grandfather were and that it is his "right" to be president, just like him getting into the naval academy - he didn't have to earn it, it should be given to him...
