Palin Claims New Hampshire Is Part Of The "Great Northwest" (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin drew some boos and shouts of confusion today, when while speaking in New Hampshire she mistakenly claimed that the Granite State was part of the "great Northwest."

"I like being here," she told the crowd in Laconia, "because it seems like here and in our last rally too -- other parts around this great Northwest -- here in New Hampshire you just get it."

It's tough video and an innocent mistake, to be sure. But it certainly doesn't help the preexisting image of Palin as being intellectually incurious. For the record, she hasn't been in the Northwest for quite a while, if at all while on the trail. On Sunday, she campaigned in Ohio; on Monday in Virginia; on Tuesday in Pennsylvania; and tomorrow she is heading back to Ohio, according to the McCain campaign public schedule.

All I saw was a cynical, angry man that acts as if the country 'owes' him! I was disgusted with his consistently rude interruptions, and his extremely noticable/unprofessional mannerisms. McCain...you should be saddened by your 'lack there of' for presidential character...I've made up my mind after last night and so did the rest of us that watched together. NONE of us were pleased with what we saw...it was just ANOTHER disappointing 'attack', redundant/mislead information that we've heard over and over...(we ALL KNOW your past, we ALL KNOW you're attempting to diminish Obama's character, which isn't working btw...too many false accusations McCain). An for "Joe" to be your focus and he's NOT EVEN registered to vote...c'mon!! It was a play on Palin's "Joe six-pack"...obviously "Joe is a drinking plummer."

We (Americans), were wanting and needing to SEE 'who' speaks knowledgably, acts professionally, and carries themself as President - and McCain...it WASN'T YOU! You slowly sank, and sank, and sank in our eye's last night...right to the bottom!

Go grab "Joe" & Palin, head to the "Great Northwest of New Hampshire"...find a local 'soccer field' with a six-pack and sit down with them and discuss, "What SHOULD we have done different Joe...?" (you may need a 12 pack for that long discussion)

I'll bet she wishes on her lucky amulet that she'd never gotten into this mess. Her flank is now vulnerable and she's about to get bitten.

Greed and ambition - it's so karmic.

You know, I do not even think she has the sense to realize she has gotten herself into a mess. When she speaks she tries to come off as this really intelligent politician. I mean, when I listen to her talk, I try to glean just one good point out of what she is trying to say and I gotta say... I am not gettin' it folks.

We in the Northwest will take a pass on Palin, thank you.

I'm so happy to wake up and find my old NH home is now in Seattle... It's like NH - but more coffee.
Does this make Texas part of the Phillipines - or put it on the road to Mandalay?

Give poor lil' Sarah a break!!! At least she placed NH and the Great Northwest in the same Hemisphere. That's a marked improvement for her, considering she doesn't know squat about Geography, or much else.

This poor woman is pitiful...lol

who was it on chris matthews that said "she's running a campaign against 'smart'" I thought that summed it up...

the defense of these people is that they are more patriotic and somehow more authentic because they're provincial ideologues and i wish someone would stand up aggressively for the intelligent American...nobody is wrapping themselves in THAT flag...then again pride comes before the fall....

Joe Biden yesterday, Obama is about JOBS spells it out J O B S, and says it's a simple three letter word. J O B S. Stop the pettiness, they all make mistakes, they are tired, they talk constantly, they goof up! Joe Biden is the only one out there on the trail qualified to be president and he screwed up! Stop the presses, why are you all so petty!

Her mistakes are insurmountable compared to the other three candidates which is not petty. In addition, she seems to think that the results of the investigation proved there was no wrongdoing, yet she faces an Ethics Personnel Board next week-this goes to show just how dumb and out of touch she truly is...I wish I had been there to see their reaction when she said New Hampshire was in the Northwest..

Well, she has to do something to make up for dismissing everyone on the East Coast as elitist...

A geography expert she ain't. It's amazing how many people continue to blindly support her no matter how many times she proves herself to be intellectually lacking. Who wants a VP candidate who always speaks before she thinks?

I really believe her 15 minutes of fame are almost over. When this is all over she will fade into the oblivion. I do not even think her political career will even go much further in Alaska.

If the northwest is so great, why isn't she there?

Maybe she confused 'The Great Northwest' with 'The Great White North' because she could see Canada from New Hampshire.

maybe she's counting all 57 states!

But wait...there are trees...and lakes...and rivers...and stuff.....and it gets kinda cold and snowy in the winter, right ?....so it IS sorta like the Northwest !
