Florida's governor says his fellow Republicans may be exaggerating claims of voter fraud in the state.

Gov. Charlie Crist said Wednesday that he has confidence in Secretary of State Kurt Browning, who says there's only been a scattering of isolated incidents.

Crist said in the closing days of any campaign "there are some who sort of enjoy chaos." There may be more of that going on than fraud, he said.

The Republican National Committee and GOP presidential candidate John McCain have accused an activist group of fraudulently registering people in Florida and other states. It has focused on young people, minorities and others seen as more likely to support Democrat Barack Obama.

LIBERALDEMIda.. very true...all your words. I just read a post some where from "Lonestar." He suggested that Hilary's supporters are now pointing the fingers at the Obama campaign and saying "see...I told you so." I don't believe it for one moment. ANYONE...with half a brain knows that your state license identification or some other legitimate form is required to vote. Thus, it's virtually impossible to vote twice. Besides, if there ARE names that look made up on the registration lists....it won't matter any way. Again, any person who wishes to vote MUST have identification before casting a vote.

As a Progressive Liberal I continue to be amazed at my Governor. He has shown that he is willing to stand up to the Republican party(when possible) on many fronts. I have sent many e-mails thanking him for the direction he has choosen and for not being a typical republican in the traditional sense. Gov. Christ is the ONLY Republican that could say he has my vote. It's to bad he's in the wrong party because he seems like a great Democrat.

I live in Atlanta Georgia and I went and voting this morning, it was amazing to see, I got there at 7:30 this morning and it was already 150-200 people in line. Even though I have been a register voter this time it felt so so good to cast my vote. I hope Sen Obama suprise every one and take Georgia Because I remember at the RNC they said they would like for Sen. McCain and that Nut case to come to Georgia but he has Georgia in the bag so he needs to go some where else, right now McCain is up by 3 in Georgia but from the looks of it, it might not last and if he win Ga it will be by a small, very small margin.

Well, since they can no longer use Palin as a smokescreen, they're using other tactics to hide the fact that they don't have an agenda.

They "May" be exaggerating voter fraud? Ha! Seems to me they are completely fabricating it.

Sounds like he's just made the first public demonstration of his plans for 2012. And he isn't looking to just be someone's VP selection plaything the next time around.

Sounds like he's still a little pissed that he was passed over for VP after handing McCain Florida and the nomination. I still think a Romney/Crist ticket would have been tough to beat. With Michigan and Florida locked up they'd have put Obama in a tougher position.

This Obama campagin is the American Story... From hard work, and a good plan flexablity and belief in yourself and the better angels of others we can make are dreams come true. I have been working on this campagin on my living room floor from July '07. A labor of hope and love...

I like Crist...he's a good guy. He sees the writing on the wall and he understands that the progressive tide is turning. This crisis has made people wake up and realize we need a calm leader.

I can't wait to vote...I can't wait to go to the polls. I'm also taking people who need rides. A group of us are taking the day off and driving people to the polls. We ALL must get out the vote, we must have a strong turn out. No sitting down, we must come out in force, and send a clear message!

Voter fraud or voter registration fraud?? Voter fraud is when you actually vote, they have not done so yet, voter registration fraud is when you register say Donald Duck to vote so the person doing the registering can earn more money, unlikely Donald will show up to vote!!!!!!! There is no fraud, it is the GOP's way of trying to purge more Dems from the rolls if they make the case of fraud the government will step in and purge, then no one can vote, mostly Dems.........

The RNC is trying to get ALL of the ACORN registrations negated.

And if there are any cases of voter registration fraud, the responsibility lies with the country election officials who are paid and are responsible for rejecting or accepting the forms.

ACORN themselves have flagged the very registration forms the election officials are telling the GOP are fraudulent. Why isn't the GOP attacking the election officials and accusing *them* of voter registration fraud?

ACORN is and always has been the GOP scapegoat and that's sad because ACORN stands up for the poor and weak in our country.

GObama/Biden '08/'12!

Yeah, Charlie!

Asked if he would help get McCain elected, he said.. "Ahhh... Well, if I have time, I may do that" or some such. Ha!!

This ACORN thing is such BS. Meanwhile, 100's of thousands of ALREADY REGISTERED voters are being purged illegally inside the 90-day window prohibited under federal election law, and the whole MSM and Repub's are focused on a few thousands bogus REGISTRATIONS, And where are these illegal purgings happening? OH, MO, NC, VA, CO, NV, IN See a pattern?

Yes BluePride, it's just that, registration fraud NOT voter fraud. 50,000 Mickey Mouses could register. If none show up, then NO VOTER FRAUD!!

Repubs know all about voter fraud. They've perfected it - Ohio 2004!

Bush won the state by 118,000 votes only after ten of thousands of votes were thrown out - approx 80,000 Kerry votes were counted for Bush. Go figure!
The list of documented voting irregularities is huge!

Ken Blackwell (former Sec. of State hear in Ohio)
- Blackwell in charge of ballot counting 2004
- Bush's re-election committee co-chair in Ohio
- Bush's electoral system adviser 2000 Florida recount!!

Blackwell got crushed in the governors race 2006 - received 20% of the vote!
He was even shunned by the African Am community.

Hey!!! I'm going to tell each and everyone of you out there...Mickey Mouse is, will and should be registered to VOTE...After all, he IS REAL...I saw him the last time I went to Disney!! LMMFAO

I have to admit, I voted for Charlie Christ, he is way more the POPULIST than he is a Conservative. He has always put Florida's folks at the front and not as JEB did and put Companies and Cronies first. From the time he was a State Senator, to State Attorney General he has been on the people's side.

Our problem is the F'ing GOP controlled Legislature! We have to overturn those fools and get a Democratic controlled body in there this Nov.

Now here's a guy that's concerned about his own future...
Charlie Crist just might get reelected.

Sure would like this to reach the MSM, probably won't. But I really did like his "If I have time, maybe I'll say some nice things about McCain, but now I need to go to Disney World" (paraphrased). Guess that, at least in Florida, Mickey Mouse trumps Mighty Mouse any day.
