Sacramento GOP Removes "Waterboard Obama" Graphic From Website

Republican officials in Sacramento, California have removed highly offensive materials from their official website after just about everyone with even a vestige of class complained that the images -- which include a suggestion that Barack Obama be waterboarded -- were totally ridiculous. Through a spokesman, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger decried the materials as being "completely and totally inappropriate."

Apparently, the responsible party -- or at least the guy willing to "take credit for" the web images -- is Craig MacGlashan, the Sacramento County GOP Party Chairman. Prior to the removal of the offending items, he defended his website by saying, "I'm aware of the content. Some people find it offensive, others do not. I cannot comment on how people interpret things." Hmmm. Let's see. "Waterboard Barack Obama." How should I interpret that? How about, "Craig MacGlashan is a horse's ass?"

Ohmigod, it gets worse and worse every day! What is wrong with these Republicans? In my day, Republicans were decent people. Not any more! In fact, I am forced to have to consider them anti-American.

It's interesting how dirty this has gotten - from the idiot with the Curious George monkey and Obama bumper sticker at the rally getting caught red-handed, to our local situation here. I volunteer countless hours for the campaign, and can only say that in speaking with local police, and people who pour into our tiny temporary office, the other side from top down is playing dirty. Someone came in about a month ago and bought 30 yard signs. We found them in the garbage cans 30 minutes later. That people would spend money to do something like that is insane. The police take reports of Obama/Biden signs being removed. They have yet to deal with McCain signs coming down. Every day at our office, residents come in to buy a replacement (for some of them it is the 4th time) sign. The Republicans have to realize that stealing and destroying signs, besides being illegal, won't change the way people will vote. It's the nastiness, the inciting, the negative attitude that will take them down, and our country too if they are elected.

So, continue wearing your buttons, your shirts, do honk and wave sessions, put out your yard signs (take them in at night), but do everything that you can do to get the Democrats elected. If you look at the alternative, like this idiot, you are just sending this country down to its demise.

Yes I'm sure that there are lots of people that approve of that image on your website. These are the same people shouting hatefull words at McCain-Palin rallys, supporters with monkey dolls and rally attendees intimidating black media workers. But the truth be told you are only preaching to the choir of misfits, perverts and hooded wackos that eat your raw meat message. The rest of the people are shocked amd dismayed at your obtuseness.

There is nothing wrong with having a different point of view. But this reprehensible behavior, coupled with the classless and ignorant acts at the Palin events are tantamount to the lynchings of African Americans this country has as one of its historical scars, The Republican party has been true to its word.after all, when I tried to give them the benefit of doubt. Somewhere in the CNN archives is a tape of two GOPers who, when the possibility of Colin Powell running for president was being heavily rumored, showed their true "colors" in their very angry, nasty threats to stop Powell from running if he chose to do so. Too bad someone isn't able to resurrect that clip.
