I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Stay Classy Gop

Republican officials in Sacramento, California have removed highly offensive materials from their official website after just about everyone with even a vestige of class complained that the images -- which include a suggestion that Barack Obama be waterboarded -- were totally ridiculous. Through a spokesman, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger decried the materials as being "completely and totally inappropriate."

Apparently, the responsible party -- or at least the guy willing to "take credit for" the web images -- is Craig MacGlashan, the Sacramento County GOP Party Chairman. Prior to the removal of the offending items, he defended his website by saying, "I'm aware of the content. Some people find it offensive, others do not. I cannot comment on how people interpret things." Hmmm. Let's see. "Waterboard Barack Obama." How should I interpret that? How about, "Craig MacGlashan is a horse's ass?"

Thank you GOP!!! you have helped ,yet again, prove the existence of the pure hatred and ignorance coming from your party... People are sick of this, and stuff like this just reinforces what we have believed for so SOOO LONG! GOP, Your DAYS ARE NUMBERED... & Rightfully so!

it's all they have left... fortunately their solid stupid 35% isn't enough for them to win.

I thought they had about 27-28% of the population who identify themselves as Republicans. Bill Snyder of CNN and a Republican pundit stated that # a few weeks ago, after the second debate.
GOP, the party of hate, unpatriotism, antiamerica. GOP, the party who can't govern but likes to win by any means.

It is very painful to know that so much hate is against Barack. We all know taht if his name was Bobby Smith, he wouldn't have this many racist ads. They wouldn't equate Barack with Bin Laden... they would still be racsit - because they are racists... But the "muslim" attacks wouldn't be.

It makes me want to cry. If I were a viloent person, that GOP office and that chairman would pay. He is lucky that most of us aren't like him.

How repulsive and what a double standard. This man ought to be hung out to dry. When our government is being investigated for water boarding, and people are ashamed of the fact, this idiot comes out and supports his rationale for printing something like this? Perhaps he would like to see requests for lynching for him?

What is wrong with people? If this country is supposed to be the most civilized nation, then some of those hypocrites and lunatics out there need to be deported to a place where will fully understand what it means to be victimized.

I am still shaking my head in pure disgust. The GOP should be hiding behind closed doors after this one.

It really is amazing how so much of what the GOP says and does is reminiscent of bad kindergarten behavior, the kinds of things we teach our children not to do.

The Republican Party is fast becoming the party of neocons and racists. It seems to me the only way to save the party is to tear it apart and build it from the ground up, going back to its conservative roots. There is no way for the party to succeed in the future with its current direction. It can only wither. The question is, how soon will Republicans see the light?

How, when by definition American conservatism has implied, if not professed outright, "conserving" an allegedly pure "whiteness" from all Others? This probably cannot be remade. But I do know this. If these leading conservative lights don't reign in this uglier side of their party, THERE MIGHT NOT BE A REPUBLICAN PARTY AT ALL IN THE FUTURE.

FDR had four (count 'em--FOUR!) terms after Hoover. And while Obama cannot hold more than two, it is clear that these attacks could ensure the bell tolling for the Republican Party LONG TERM. They are dangerously close. The Ralph Reeds and the James Dobsons of the party know that without this white supremacist center to their party, any third party offshoots focused solely on one-off issues like abortion or faith will NEVER carry the electoral day.

McKK.Kain has done his part, driving the wedge between elite wealth holders on the Street in NYC by calling them greedy, so he's bitten the hand that could have fed him. And the conservative intellectuals have completely abandoned him over his strategy, tactics, and the Palin choice, which in light of her growing scandal count, put us all at risk. This is very dangerous territory for the Republican Party--they might not survive this. They have not shown the capacity to adapt--to whatever it is: globalization, a nonwhite candidate, the economy. They might just become dinosaurs behind this.

This kind of stuff is so juvenile, part and parcel from the republican party. It just make them look less educated than my fifteen year old.

I bet at least one of the morons actually thought this was funny. The GOP really has become the party of idiots. The smart conservatives need to take their party back.

You know, I'm a moderate democrat and could vote republican if the right candidate came along. The GOP needs to figure out what they have been doing wrong, restructure their base, and appeal to the rest of middle america. You are right, the smart conservatives need to take their party back.

These haters are not only a disgrace to the Republican party, they're a disgrace to humanity. Why is it acceptable to wish harm on Obama? Why do some people hate him? He is a kind and decent man and he has not hurt anyone.

This crap coupled with the evacuation of a Philly office due to a letter containing a strange substance is really shaking up the demons of the past. How long until Palin speaks at a klan meeting?
