WATCH: McCain Recycles His Stump Speeches

John Stewart had lots of fun on last night's "Daily Show" pointing out how John McCain recycled many of the lines used in Tuesday's economic stump speech.

"I think I've heard this brand-new speech before, I think it was at the Republican convention," joked Stewart.

Some of the recycled lines spotlighted by Stewart, featuring side-by-side videos of McCain repeating the same lines in the same rhythm, practically harmonizing with himself:

- "We'll drill them now..."
- "We're going to stop sending $700b to countries that don't like us very much"
- "We'll invest in all energy alternatives: nuclear, wind, tide, solar, natural gas, clean-coal technology..."
- "My friends, I can hardly wait until I introduce her to Washington DC"
- "I've been fighting for this country since I was 17 years old and I have the scars to prove it."
- "Fight for what's right for our country, fight for the ideals and character of a free people, fight for our children's future, we never hide from history, we make history."

After showing the video, Stewart quipped, "His supporters are going to be so mad when they find out that he recycles."

I wondered if they give each other a big hug at every appearance.

If so, yeeeuuuch, for each of them.

I also wonder if the big hug --- so sweet, tender, and engaging ---

is rehearsed and pulled out as part of the show script at every event.

It reminds me of the Icescapades, where each partner gracefully glides across the ice

to embrace each other and express their deepest wishes and gratitude

for all those votes from their right wing nut jobs..

Yeah, he was on a lot. Always a hoot, because Stewart would give him a hard time about Iraq and McCain's responses were priceless -- I'm sure you can find these on YouTube. The last time you could actually see the temper rising from McCain. Even when he's funny he's scary.

have you calculated the enormous increases in the national debt given a , God forbid, McCain administration? Both plans as they have been presented represent an increase but McCain's increases the debt by an additional 1 trillion...oops, make than 1.3 trillion based on his latest proposal. At least O has said he would not realistically be able to implement all his ideas at the outset and was even willing to prioritize, unlike his rival.

For me, it was not so much about the recycling of the stump speech, but it's how the media propaganda the McCain camps goals: a 'brand new' McCain with 'brand new' stump speech. Don't they have a research department at CNN and others? (Forget Fixed Propaganda Machine)

I cannot go to bed without watching Jon Stewart first! He's been showing stuff the MSM won't touch and I often feel Jon Stewart is the only man on television who is giving us the truth. Last week, prudent investors ran for cover as polls showed an Obama win. The market gave up more than 8 trillion in value upon learning of the news. Investors fear obama will bankrupt the nation. This week, news has reached the stock market that a new buyer is coming to town. He has a big wallet and he doesn't really care about the risk. The market reacted to both events accordingly.
