John McCain didn't just fail to get the game-changer he needed -- he was trounced in this third and final debate, if the instant post-debate polling provides any indication.

The results over at CBS show Obama to have scored the biggest victory to date: "Fifty-three percent of the uncommitted voters surveyed identified Democratic nominee Barack Obama as the winner of tonight's debate. Twenty-two percent said Republican rival John McCain won. Twenty-four percent saw the debate as a draw."

It is, the site writes, "a clean sweep" for the Illinois Democrat.

Over at CNN, a separate poll of several hundred debate watchers again favored the Democrat by large margins: 58 percent for Obama to McCain's 31 percent. Perhaps more importantly, McCain's favorable rating dropped 51 to 49 while his unfavorable rating increased from 45 percent to 49 percent. Obama ended up with 66 percent favorable rating.

Digging into the details the news is even worse for the Arizona Republican.

Asked who "expressed his views more clearly" 66 percent said Obama, 25 percent said McCain.
"Who spent their time attacking his opponent:" 80 percent said McCain, seven percent said Obama. "Who seemed to be the stronger leader:" 56 percent for Obama, 39 percent for McCain. And who was "more likeable:" 70 percent for Obama to McCain's 22 percent.

CNN also conducted a smaller focus group of 25 undecided likely voters in Ohio, and Obama won that too, 15-10.

Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg, meanwhile, conducted some polling before and after the debate and here are his findings.

Before the debate:

McCain: 54 favorable / 34 unfavorable

Obama: 42 favorable / 42 unfavorable

After the debate:

McCain: 50 favorable / 48 unfavorable

Obama: 72 favorable / 22 unfavorable

Meanwhile, virtually the entire Frank Luntz focus group on Fox News, which was staged tonight in Miami, said that Barack Obama won the debate. Luntz termed it a "clear majority," but not one person raised their hand when asked if they thought McCain won.

Said Luntz: "None had made a decision to support Sen. Obama before the debate, but more than half supported him after the debate. It was a good night for Barack Obama."

On the flip side, The Page's Mark Halperin offered the following grades:

Obama a B and McCain an A-

Hi Follow Americans,

"Obama Ignores Credit Card Donation Fraud"

NewsMax.com

_________

QUOTE;

What do Bart Simpson, Family Guy, Daffy Duck, King Kong, O.J. Simpson, and Raela Odinga have in common?

Forexample, on Oct. 14, an individual using the name O.J. Simpson participated in Obamas latest small-donor fundraising drive, making a $5 donation through the campaigns Web site.

Giving a Los Angeles address, he listed his employer as the State of Nevada and his occupation as convict. The donor used a disposable gift credit card to make the donation.

The Obama campaign sent O.J. a thank-you note confirming his contribution, and gave him the name of another donor who had agreed to match his contribution.

Four minutes earlier, an individual using the name Raela Odinga also made a $5 contribution, using the same credit card.

The real Raela Odinga became prime minister of Kenya in April and has claimed to be a cousin of Obamas through a maternal uncle.

Obama donor Raela Odinga listed his address as 2007 Stolen Election Passage in Nairobi, KY. This credit card donation raised no alarm bells in the Obama campaign.
None of the matching donors names appears in the Obama campaigns public disclosures to the FEC.

Ken Boehm, a lawyer with 30 years - in campaign finance law, said that such contributions were clearly illegal.

To all the people that think that less government interference would "put us through another depression"
can you go back to HIGH SCHOOL? please?

I'm seventeen and even I could tell you that the way that the way that the economy was stabilized post World War Two was by the implementation of Keynesian Economics and more government systems of checks and balances that prevented the sort of thing that's happening now.

It's too bad due to all of the de-regulation and banks forclosing that I can't even go to University.

AL GORE won his debates against BUSH...but what happened?
Yes, the election was stolen, but who is President?

So let's not get into this nonsense that debates mean anything, because they have shown to not make a difference except maybe to cognoscenti among the most avid political buffs...the rest of the nation just has no time to concern itself with this.

Well, this is not about winning a debate but about how a candidate would govern. So, here is what you have to look at: 1) How the campaign was run and 2) How the decision on picking a VP was made.

Now, do you want to compare and contrast them?

Obama: Smoothly, thoughfully and thoroughly.

McCain: Lurching from one position to another, gut feeling, thoughtlessly

This is how these candidates would run their presidency. Now choose.

Golly gee Batman, FoxNews' poll showed McCain won the debate by 82%. How is that possible?
Is everyone else in the news business lying?

It was amazing that immediately following the debate, the pundits at MSNBC and CNN all seemed to call it a dead heat. Maybe a slight edgte to Obama. Huge cudos to McCain for his ridiculous "I'm not George Bush" comment. "Line of the night." What a coup! It was a throw away line, for @#$%#$ sake.

They seemed to give points to McCain for not sounding as Stupid as Palin. In their zeal to sound objective, they sounded like idiots instead. No points to Obama for speaking factually and clearly about things while McCain fumbled and stumbled and sounded like a third grader with his simpleton replies.

What's up with the news media? Obviously some of the experts they interviewed were Republican strategists. That should be a conflict of interest.

McCain Loses Hastily Convened Fourth Presidential Debate With Lifesize Cardboard Obama

In a Manhattan conference room this afternoon, Senator John McCain (R.-Ariz.) conducted and lost a hastily arranged rematch of last night's Presidential debate, this time to a cardboard cutout of the Democratic Presidential candidate, Senator Barack Obama (D.-Ill.). According to CNN snap polls following this impromptu affair, McCain turned in more respectable numbers, losing by a narrow 50-45 margin to the cardboard image of the actual man who had trounced him in a debate just the night before, 58-31.

That focus group didn't have one African American. What a representation of America! At any rate it is clear that John McCain even is beginning to beleive he doesn't REALLY have a chance of winning. Did you guys watch the White Tie event they had last night? McCain was funny but he still sounded angry, frustrated and upset! Barack was also funny but he sounded confident and relaxed. He was Very Presidential.

The choice is clear Angry and Upset V.S Confident and Relaxed? We need Confident, Steady, and Relaxed leadership. Not some Grumpy Old Dude!

You sound very frustrated yourself. Try prunes. We normal people didn't see it that way. McCain was clearly superior in that debate. Obama was clearly on the defensive.

My brother said that McCain hates Boeing. I did not believe him, but after last night's debate my brother was totally right.

McCain actually brought up Boeing as a company he would go after. He indirectly named the old 2004 Druyun scandal last night.

Now I know why McCain backed AirBus in the rigged tanker contract. He hates Boeing that much, since they embarrassed the Air Force and his beloved military complex.

Why does McCain hate American workers so much that he would now ship American Jobs to France? He has REAL issues and has enemy hit lists that he keeps for a very long, long time.

Sell your Boeing stock and buy AirBus if McCain wins.

Was watching news today & it was reported that Fox news had McCain ahead in the debate 87% to 12% for Obama. Trust that source for sure. LOL

Debates don't win the election; votes do. Debates let us get familiar with the candidates. Now that they have done their debating duty, let's do our duty and vote.

The Republicans had all the power for 6 of the last 8 years and they betrayed the American public and now our economy is in tatters.

Let's let them know that 8 years was too damn much.

GET OUT AND VOTE NOV. 4

Obama's group gave $800,000 to ACORN to get his vote out! ACORN is very systematic and affective in registering everything and anything in sight flooding the registrar offices. Remember Obama IS the "Community Organizer.".. . ACORN is effectively serious and uses the Chicago Vote strategy.... Vote Early and Vote Often! You too Mickey Mouse!

You might be laughing now but watch out for what you wish for.... you might NOT get more!

And yet McCain continues to harp about how everything would be different if Obama had agreed to those town meetings...does McCain not realize he got beat by Obama in the "town meeting" debate? Was McCain actually there?
