Blue Line Suspensions This Weekend

CTA rail service on the Blue Line will be suspended between the Irving Park and Belmont stations from 9 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Monday for rail repairs.

The agency will be replacing "deteriorated rail ties, tie plates and spikes," the CTA said in a news release. Shuttle buses will operate between the Irving Park and Belmont stations, stopping at the Addison station in between.

An additional shuttle bus will be provided for customers with disabilities, according to the release, because the Belmont and Irving Park stations are not equipped with elevators.
