Press Release:

GLENN BECK JOINS FOX NEWS

Glenn Beck has signed a multi-year agreement to join FOX News, announced Roger Ailes, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FOX News. Beginning next spring, Beck will host FOX News Channel's (FNC) 5 PM/ET weekday program as well as a weekend show on the network.

Currently, Beck serves as the host of Glenn Beck, a talk show on CNN's Headline News which has grown more than 200% in viewership in both the 7pm and 9pm timeslots since its 2006 debut. He also hosts a daily radio show The Glenn Beck Program which is syndicated via Premiere Radio Networks to more than 300 stations nationwide as well as XM Satellite Radio, and ranks as the third most listened to radio talk show in America among adults 25-54.

In making the announcement, Ailes said, "As we embark on a new political landscape, Glenn's thought provoking commentary will complement an already stellar line-up of stars at FOX News"

Prior to his television career, Beck served as a talk radio show host at WFLA-AM in Tampa, FL where he took his program to number one within his first year there. He began his radio career in Corpus Christi, Texas as the youngest Top 40 morning show disc jockey in America at 18 years of age. Beck later moved on to become a top 40 disc jockey in major markets around the country, including Houston, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Phoenix and New Haven, CT.

Beck added, "I am thrilled and profoundly humbled to have the chance to bring my program to FOX News. Expanding my audience is exciting, but I'm really looking forward to joining Mr. Ailes and his world-class team."

A recipient of the 2008 Marconi Award for Network Syndicated Personality of the Year from the National Association of Broadcasters, Beck is also the author of the New York Times bestseller An Inconvenient Book - Real Solutions to the World's Biggest Problems (2007) as well as The Real America - Messages from the Heart and Heartland (2005).

FOX News Channel (FNC) is a 24-hour general news service covering breaking news as well as political, entertainment and business news. For more than six years, FNC has been the most watched cable news channel in the nation. Owned by News Corp., FNC is available in more than 90 million homes.

As a footnote, imagine on judgment day when all these racists, bigots, hatemongers, warmongers meet jesus and he tells them I know you not, and in shock they say when did we see you lord and ignore you, and he responds when you did this to the least of these, the poor, hungry, naked those sick and in prison you saw me! And he will give them with God the fathers blessing what they all have so fervently desired all their earthly lives a place unto themselves, that eternal lake of fire where they can enjoy each others company for all eternity! When ever you hear of the most famous republican talking point on giving/re-distributing "their" wealth to the others, remember the parable of the rich man in bible, he to claimed he wanted to follow Jesus but when told by Jesus to give/re-distribute his wealth to the poor, he became sad and went away unable to do this! This is the favorite saying and talking point of people like multi-millionare Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and company, they get sad when asked to give/re-distribute their wealth to anyone less than themselves, and it reminds me of another bible parable of how hard it will be for a rich man to enter heaven as hard as a camel going thru the eye of a needle...

Now if the rest of the media racists, bigots will go to fox news like Lou Dobbs, Hasselback, etc, they can have a big family reunion!

So does that mean that "Headline News" will finally have headline news in the evening? Hallelujah! One down, one to go (Nancy Grace, bye-bye, please!). No ShowBiz tonight, no (male and female) bimbos anchoring in the mornings... a real news station... wait, it's only Beck that's leaving. Darn.

Finally, Beck is going to a place he belonged. He would feel so much at home at Faux News.
CNN made the worst mistake by having this right wing nut on their show. I stopped watching HN after this man joined CNN. Now Beck can continue his verbal diarrhea where it really belongs.

Not surprising. The other day I came across this animated voice on the AM dial. He was talking in a panic tone Stephen Colbert reserves for live bears, so I listened - and guess who it was?? I NEVER would have put the voice to the face on CNN.

Until now!

Ditto many others; I won't have to see Mr. Beck by accident any longer :-)

Now CNN's days are numbered... no one else on CNN that's worth watching.
A wise move by Glenn and Fox News. I prefer Fair and Balanced and the numbers don't lie.
If CNN continues down it's increasingly biased path it will need a $$ bailout by next year.

No, you prefer dumb and dumber. CNN Headline News these days is just Fox light. It shows with your statement

Typical Liberal 'arrogant' response. Everyone else is dumb and dumber while your ship is sinking as you look down on anyone that doesn't think like you. The fruit is in the success of these shows and channels. Reality 101 - you can't compete in the arena of ideas... so you have to attempt to push a so called "fairness doctrine". Ha.. If what you have to say is so brilliant then why are the masses tuning into Fox. Where is your awesome talk radio hosts... No - just another ship that went down on it's maiden voyage.

Fair and balanced?

Not Fox News.......Gets better ratings yes, but far from fair or balanced.

Better ratings simply means, people get to choose what they want to watch... and they are tired of slanted channels like CNN.. so they are going over to FOX where it is fair and balanced. Otherwise why leave CNN?

Oh, and I'll bet anyone who wants to wager $10 he will bash Headline News as being too liberal before one weeks time. That's why he moved. To be fair and balanced. He'll fit right in between Hannity, Karl Rove and BO.

I always thought he belonged on Fox anyways. Having said that I also think Fox news belongs in
a toilet. Good luck Glenn.

Alright, now I never have to change channels because he happens to be on some channel that I happen to switch to. I never go near the FOX channel. If I wanted fiction, I would go to the SIFI channel. THANK YOU Glenn.

Excellent; put this loser into the freak-show he obviously belongs in. Now, if they would bring back Lynne Russel I might just unblock the mindless wasteland that is Headline News!

Did Fox News really need another conservative analyst to be fair and balanced or is it another effort to push conservatism?
