Snl Skit

Playing off the recent outburst against Obama at a McCain-Palin rally by Gayle Quinnell, who said she's read of Obama "that he was an Arab," Thursday night's edition of "Saturday Night Live," featured a skit in which a crazy McCain-Palin supporter in a red t-shirt wandered onto the set of "Weekend Update" to proclaim such things as Barack Obama "is 50% Egyptian, he's going to change the White House to a pyramid."

Watch the skit:

Here is an article on the McCain Rally Lady and here is the McCain rally lady video:

The moment McCain took the mic from Gayle:

Tina Fey's is funny as hell, but get to know Kristin Wiig's name, she's is a MONSTER! She might even be better than Fey. Believe it or not, she was one of Kathryn Heigl's agents (the hot one) that didn't like her being pregnant. She's so good, you probably wouldn't even know it was her playing some of the more degenerate characters on SNL.

Your link is a misleading waste of time. It is not about the woman at all.

It hit on all of the points McCain supporters have hit on in the last few weeks. It's classic.

elderly, confused, afraid; I could feel sorry for her, but she does not need a national forum to air her fear and confusion.

You have to have a drivers license to drive a car. You should have to pass a civics/history class to be eligible to vote. Too many underinformed, ill-informed or just plain ignorant voters going to the polls.

While I agree that there are "too many underinformed, ill-informed or just plain ignorant voters going to the polls," the principle difference is that driving a car is a privilege and voting is a right.

But voter turn out is already too low. (Although that might have something to do with perceived lousy choices?) Maybe what is needed is better regulation of media, would probably put Faux "News" out of business but then that would be a good thing.

And then there are the supposedly educated (like quite a few of my colleagues at work) who are misguided, closed mind, and dogmatic when it comes to politics. All they can quote are from Faux News and the Drudge report!

This was funny. I am curious is her entire family as ignorant as she. Has she been interviewed yet?

oh, gosh, i can't remember where I saw it, maybe on perez hilton, but there is footage of this woman being interviewed after the rally. And, yes, she only makes herself look worse!

I watched some of this kind of stuff and some Daily Show stuff with my mother (a McCain supporter) and she totally did not get the irony/humor/satire AT ALL. She got angry at the audience laughter!!! For shame.

Did she laugh at the stiff at the actual rallies?

What is really sad is that a lot of folks attracted to McCain and Palin are about this dim; so
easily influenced by fear based rhetoric.

I actually kind of feel sorry for this lady. She was so obviously misinformed about the candidates (at the rally, not on SNL) that it was painful to watch. Although what she said was outrageous, it must still be painful to be humiliated on tv.

Before you feel too sorry for her, remember that she's spent more than a few hours of her time sending out slanderous, smear-campaign letters about Obama- all with the assistance and the blessings of her local McCain headquarters. If she could take the time to go to the library to dig up misinformation about Obama, she could have chosen to take the time to do a little research, about whether or not the information she so readily accepted was accurate or not.

**SNL missed one very important nuance: the real McCain lady is wearing a black fanny-pack.

I hope she's a recurring feature. Hilarious! Perfect.
I'd love to see her and McCain just aimlessly wandering
around the set, bumping into each other, following each other, etc.

Everyone has to lighten up......this is so funny!....McCain & Obama were also hysterical and thoughtful at the Alfred Smith dinner.....Let's not forget we are all human and need to laugh more often.
