Elisabeth Hasselbeck Ann Coulter

Elisabeth Hasselbeck emphatically dissed Ann Coulter on "The View" Friday, telling co-host Joy Behar, "Please don't put me in the same sentence as Ann Coulter." Hasslebeck also cleared the air regarding rumors that she is jumping ship to Fox News, telling the ladies and the viewers, "I am not going anywhere."

When Behar predicted that Sarah Palin would dye her hair blonde and join Fox News if John McCain loses, she enumerated a list of famous blonde Republicans: "Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Elisabeth Hasselbeck."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, please don't put me in the same sentence as Ann Coulter!" the proud Republican erupted.

Whoopi Goldberg then asked Hasselbeck to speak about the rumors that she's leaving "The VIew" for Fox News, to which Hasselbeck responded:

"I'm not going anywhere, except to get my highlights fixed! I love Fox, I'm staying here....I am not leaving The View.' I certainly love my ladies here. I am not going anywhere."

Watch:

Elisabeth also denied the Fox rumors earlier this month, but Friday's show was the first she spoke directly about it on the air. Speculation about her departure from "The View" has been fueled by various on-air spats over politics this election season in which she, the show's only conservative host, has often faced off against her co-hosts over Barack Obama and John McCain (see below).

Please, go the way of Glen Beck and go to Fox; then we all know what channel to avoid.

Have the angry barbies put on the gloves and go at each other instead of spewing hate at the American people.

Come on, we all know that these two are sisters. I can not tolerate either one of them, not even a millisecond.

Oh, do I wish she would change her mind and go to Fox!!

I can only take her in very small doses and I am sure I have missed many good shows because I just could'nt take another minute of her "nails across the chalk board" voice and ridiculuous point of view!

EH is a broken record...she argues like a child, if you call her out her response is "what about ...."
to change issue. Reminds me of when one of my kids gets in trouble so they try to bag the other for something totally different.

This "lady" follows money so I expect her to be at Fox very soon.

And good riddance to her!

I don't really watch 'the view', but Hasselbeck gives the only opinion from the right. She's necessary. I think there have been times she's made mistakes (and admitted to it). She's there to speak her mind and maybe even learn from others, but I've never heard of her being mean spirited, she believes what she says. Ann Coulter is not the same. Her only reason to exist is to put divisive language on situations where it's not called for. She's had her heavy part in making neocons believe that people to the left of center are evil. She's a well educated WASP(originally from New Canaan, CT), who has always lived a life of privilege. She wouldn't know 'hard work' if it came and slapped her on the ass, the Sean Hannity (and most men) like to.

I agree that opinions from the right are needed but talking to EH is like talking to a brick wall. She does not listen to the other side, she only wants to rebut EVERYTHING. The world is not black and white there are some shades of gray which she refuses to acknowledge therefore she lowers the level of conversation to disagreements. It would be nice to replace her with a republican who can also recognize and RESPECT that there is another side.

Please Please leave the show. As much as Ann coulter irritates me, she would be better than EH. EH is just not smart enough to make a convincing argument and repeats the same points of contention over and over. It seems her argument are rehearsed and if she tries to expand her explanation for disagreement her point gets lost and she wanders aimlessly, leaving us to pray she will just shut up.

Ann Coulter is smarter, but I kind of think this makes her worse than Hasselbeck - Coulter should know better!

Actually, I'd like to see Ann Coulter on the show. Whoopi wouldn't make her cry as easily as she can Elizabeth. THAT would be good television.

Just to be clear-- I am NOT an Ann Coulter fan by any means. I just think seeing her and Whoopi go head to head would be GREAT.

Oh what a BUMMER! I was looking forward to her leaving "The View" and going on to some place where is is accepted and will feel at home - Fox News. I'm very disappointed that she says she's not leaving because I truly don't care for her and her dumb views. I really hope that she's just putting us on and planning her exit on the quiet... Wishful thinking.

Fox likes airheaded parrots, elizabeth fits this description to a tee. She will repeat anything fox says as gospel. Since she really believes it, they would want her on fox, no acting required.

I would like people like Elizabeth to acknowledge Ayers as he is today--a Chicago college professor. Imagine his students, and imagine having a son and daughter that will some day be taught by this honored college professor? His students are laughing at the McCain/Palin accusations, and many people in the Chicago area are more than likely laughing also.

The Republican Party loves throwing around the word terrorist. I wonder if Palin would have labeled the 4 college students that were gunned down by police at Kent State back in the 70's as terrorists? How about all the other supposedly radical thinkers and speakers that took the microphone at the Washington mall in the 70's? The Vietnam war was just as wrong as the Iraq war. The only reason it stopped when it did was because of the protestors and increasing turmoil in the streets at home. Over the past 8 years we've seen what has happened without enough protest. Perhaps if we would have got off our duffs and done the same, we wouldn't have had a second term of W, or been in this overall state of financial demise like we are now.
