The Republican Party is blasting out a four-page pamphlet tying Barack Obama to Bill Ayers, who they say oversaw a "reign of terror" and is a "friend of Obama."

The literature, sent independently to the Huffington Post by readers in Nevada and North Carolina, is part of a continued effort to tie Obama to the former Weather Underground member even as Sen. John McCain says he is uninterested in an "old, washed-up terrorist." As reported yesterday, the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee have launched a massive nationwide robocall campaign on the same topic.

The layout of the pamphlets (which were sent from the North Carolina Republican State Executive Committee and the Nevada Republican Party) has an almost eerie, children's book feel to it.

"This is the story of William Ayers," the cover reads. "Terrorist. Radical. Friend of Obama." Additionally, the pamphlet places the notorious Ayers quote -- "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough" -- in between a picture of him and Obama, potentially misleading recipients as to who said it.

The Party also takes poetic license in interpreting Ayers' role in the Weather Underground movement, suggesting that he ran the organization and paralyzed the country in fear.

"During his reign of terror, Ayers and his organization bombed the United States Capitol, the Pentagon, a judge's house and policy stations."

It should be noted that three of the four pages contain pictures of both Obama and Ayers, and that two of those three have their photos side-by-side.

Again, if you get any campaign materials like the above, feel free to contact the Huffington Post.

Everything about the Republican Party is getting creepy. Have you noticed how many people have been vacating the Republican Party and how much it has changed lately. I mean, since W it has changed, but since McCain got the nomination and Palin got the VP nod, WOW!, it is back to the Joe McCarthy era. Hey, another Joe to talk about, Joe Six Pack, Joe the Plumber and Joe McCarthy.

The following have had polite, accurate things to say about Barack Obama, whom they know to be a Christian with some bitter feelings about Islam, at one time or another: Christopher Buckley, George F. Will, Kathleen Parker, David Petraeus, Levi Johnston, Ben Stein and Sylvester Stallone. Chances are, none of them will vote for him this year, but they know they're safe regardless.
So, "Barack is an Arab" afficionados, know that the real Arabs are afraid that BHO will cut off our oil trade and RAZE MECCA and REBUILD IT AS A CHRISTIAN CITY(This was on al-Jazeera, in an interview with some Hamas flacks at the time Sen. Obama was in the West Bank last summer.)

There's no reason for us to not smear McCain. I know it's not Obama's style. But, I'm just saying. There's plenty of material, there's only 18 days left, the gauntlet's already been laid down... If the polls change a wink, it might be time to massively fire away.

McCain is sitting on the most horrific Rev. Wright rants possible. Are we talking about getting dirty?

BobC46...no, McCain is trying to send out smoke screens to cover the fact they have nothing to offer the country and have once again resorted to nasty smears. How they think this kind of cr*p will improve our image in the world is mystifying to me and just about everyone I know.

It's clearly not the truth, but you wouldn't understand what with living in that tightly insulated very tiny republican box. But if you're really interested you can check out a variety of news reports on the subject (something other than Faux), you can listen to Barack's simple explanation in the debate, you can talk with education folks in Chicago, you can talk with the Federal prosecutor in the Ayers case who recently made a public statement on the subject. Stop acting like you're somehow interested in the truth when all you're doing is trying to smear Obama and stuff your right-wing agenda down other people's throats through whatever means available. Most everyone is on to you and your ilk.

Truth? You guys must have had your fingers in your ears each of the five times BHO has addressed the matter of William Ayers. So, here's the beef(NOT the BULL.....): "Mr. Ayers has no place in my campaign and will have no place in my administration"." - BHO at the debate on October 15, 2008. Years ago, during my YAF period, President Nixon was accused of consorting with one Mickey Cohen, a Jewish mobster. It turns out that a PR flack for Cohen brought his client up to where Nixon and Bing Crosby were golfing, and arranged a photo op. Mr. Cohen expressed his admiration for "commie-bashing", down-to-Earth guys like the President and Spiro Agnew, and occasionally wrote to RMN after that. Attempts to tie Nixon to organized crime failed, until he organized his own crime.
For a real objective view of Ayers-Obama, check the files of the Chicago Tribune.
Also, since we're talking witch hunts, check out the names David Ifshin and Kemper Marley, and their relationships with John McCain.

It's the repubs who can't handle the truth - particularly when it comes to losing. That's why they are busy smearing and hurling racial insults and threats. The behavior or your compatriots is appalling. Truth for you all clearly has nothing to do with it.

It's hard to believe that the country I grew up in has decomposed into a hateful, ignorant, disgusting, pile of compost. I was a child when World War II was being fought. We were so proud of our country then and everyone pitched in and helped. My dad, a veteran of W.W. I, never did anything with his hands, but he grew a victory garden in our back yard. Many things were rationed and I heard about a few people who hoarded butter, sugar and gasoline! I was ten when my three favorite cousins went off to war. I didn't really worry about them. They were so strong and so good to me. They fought in the toughest battles and, believe it or not, they all came home without being wounded. We now have a President and Vice-President who dodged the Vietnam confrontation. We have John McCain, a candidate for President, who wrecked five airplanes in the Navy and was finally taken prisoner. He stood the torture for a short time and then confessed to anything and everything. His tapes of confession were broadcast all over Vietnam. His father even heard them. The idea that Obama (8 years old) and Ayers (a teenager) connected during the 1960's is totally ridiculous.Their casual acquaintanceship in later years is distorted by the lying, disrespectful, gutter sniping Republicans. No wonder they couldn't find a good candidate to run for President. What decent man would have anything to do with them?

This is just disgusting and the McCain campaign should be shut down for fostering this kind of stuff. John - You've lost your dignity, my friend. It will be interesting to see if you will be able to hold onto your senate seat in two years.
I'm betting you don't and being an Arizona resident, will do my part to hedge that bet!

MICHELLE BACHMANN a republican senator from Tennessee was on Hardball spewing the same
poison. She said that the democrat congress should be investigated because they will help OBAMA
turn this country into a facist country. A member of congress . She called them democrat congress trators, and accused them of treason. Can you beleive that. This is someone who represent the state of Tennessee. I feel so sorry for the citizens of TENNESSEE. She wouldn't represent me. The hate that John MCCAN AND SARAH PALIN are spewing is very scarey. SARAH PALIN thinks that just the people in small towns are the true AMERICANS/ cAN YOU BELEIVE THIS. I thought we were some how above all this. MCCAIN and PALIN wants to divide this country and they don't care how they do it. We should let them know in the voting booth what we think of them. The RNC does not want to give up their power. They want to keep all the money and have us to pay for their prosperity. That is why the economy is like it is now.

Please don't insult the good people of Tennessee. Ms.Bachmann is a Congresswoman from a rural area of Minnesota that didn't have a whole lot of people willing to move to Washington. Tennessee sent Mr. Law and Order to the Senate a while back, and he had a six year snooze.
The Vols came to their senses, somewhat, and sent a fairly sane individual named Bob Corker to take the place of Ferocious Fred.

William Ayers is only the tip of the iceberg. What intelligent parents take their precious children to a "Christian" church to hear the "reverend" repeatedly G-d damn America. Why wont Sen Obama allow the release any of his school records, health records and other normal documents? Why doesn't he admit he used Marxist handbook by Saul Alinsky as a guide to his community organizing then taught same techniques to ACORN. Why hasn't any one questioned him about the low-income housing he supported, partially with Federal funds, which after a few short years has been condemned to demolition because of shoddy construction and no upkeep. Why did he replace the American flag with his logo on his campaign plane? Why is Louis Farrakhn, Supreme Leader of the Nation of Islam, delighted with his nomination, as are Ondingo, Gaddafi? Is hatred of Bush greater than the safety of our Country, our children and grandchildren? Yes, Pres. Bush has made errors but his presidency has truly been a trial by fire ~
I do not agree with Sen. Obama's plan of allowing illegal aliens into our Social Security System, nor do I agree with him in allowing them to obtain driver's licenses "so they can vote". I guess the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys, registered in Nevada by ACORN will not be allowed to vote in the November election. I smell a great big rat.Obama is a smart man, it's just too bad he has so much baggage.

These are some good points about Obama. Let's not go putting him up as some kind of angel. He has run a very smart campaign. He should have disowned Rev Wright sooner, but let's face facts.
John McCain has turned his campaign into a publicity stunt. From the choosing of Gov Palin to trotting out "Joe" the Plumber to the constant attacks on Obama. It's no wonder he sounds disingenuous in the debates. "Joe the plumber. Joe youre rich! Youre gonna be rich next year and Obama is going to raise your taxes" or how about "I have the solution to the energy crisis. Nuclear, nuclear, nuclear". Ok maybe he only said it twice, but why is he so narrow minded and why does he talk down to the audience like we are a group of 5 year olds. Palin didn't pick up any voters for McCain and some conservatives have jumped ship because of her inexperience. McCain says he loves those serving our country, after voting against the new GI bill.

During the Vietnam War, the American flag was quietly and appropriately removed from the Finney Chapel on the campus of Oberlin College in Ohio. At the same time, my father -- a veteran of WWI -- died. I refused to allow the usual military rites at his graveside, and it was all I could do to let a flag be draped on his coffin. It stood then for something I loathed. "America" is a composit of many things, some of them being its policies, and sometimes the only way to adequately express one's opposition to them is through its symbol. When the country is only engaged in honorable practices and enterprises, its flag is an honorable symbol. When it is not, it is merely an object of shame. Yes, we should be proud of our Constitution, but we shoud not be proud of the official assaults upon it. When we succeed in putting people in government devoted to protecting it, then perhaps our flag will assume its proper place in our estimation.

Really I sick of this bias reporting on Obama and no one brings up McCain's associations and Sarah Palin associations even when she was giving speeches with Alaskan Independent Party which her husband want to make Alaska it own country. how founder said he would not be buried under this damn flag the American flag what is wrong with questioning her on this and her husband. "oh no," " to much like doing something right" The press is not just being unfair to Obama in that they are not taking responsibility to give fair and impartial reporting .People can see how unfair thing are with the press they are setting him up should God forbid anything happen to Obama behind this none- since. You would not have far to look for the guilty GOP party MCCain, Sarah Palin . the media program directors

I noticed that when I logged on that there are only 702 comments. It's always over 1000 or more. With that we can comment all we want to about these losers all they want to do is poison us with there hate. It looks to me that if they are so worried about this guy Ayers. Why dont they ask him about how you feel. Be brave don't be like McCain & hide behind a woman's skirts (momma, Palin, & especially his wife). Has anyone ever found out why is it that Cindy Mc. is alway's behind him everywhere?
You alway's here about the other party on the losing side moving to another country. Maybe there the ones that need to move to another place. Maybe they will go to Hell when its all over for them. Because that's where they are going to be at with all the others ahead of them are waiting for them!

Why is the media not camped out in front of Ayers house? Get
his statement! Obama said in the third debate the relationship
consisted of work on a committee and that was it.
Placing the "fear" element into this election is racism. If Obama
were white and called "Joe", would this be happening? The
McCain campaign uses this technique then accuses anyone who
condemns it, as attacking a war hero. Am I an American for bringing
this up? You betcha!
