Thursday night on "Wheel of Fortune" — which has a Canada theme this week, the two opening puzzles were intriguingly Alaska related: "herd of moose" and "Alaska Highway," two phrases that even to casual observers call to mind Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
While it would be outlandish to suggest "Wheel of Fortune" is in the tank for Sarah Palin, the New York Times crossword's preferences for Obama over McCain did make the headlines.
