More West Virginia Voters Say Machine Flipping Votes From Democrat To Republican

Charleston Gazette:

Three Putnam County voters say electronic voting machines changed their votes from Democrats to Republicans when they cast early ballots last week.

This is the second West Virginia county where voters have reported this problem. Last week, three voters in Jackson County told The Charleston Gazette their electronic vote for "Barack Obama" kept flipping to "John McCain".

If John McCain wins this election, there will have been voter frraud, primarily with those disastrous Diebold machines. It happened in Ohio last time and might well in a number of other states this year. If it happens the people should take to the streets in protest. It is OUTRAGEOUS that we have a Republican company creating machines that have no paper trail and that many times have been said to swtich from Democrat to Republican. (But not vice-versa, take notice.) If the Rethugs don't manage to steal this election, President Obama must get FEDERAL laws pased that do away with Diebold's machines and/or mandate a paper record of every single vote cast in this country. Then Americans can vote with confidence that their vote will actually count.

Why anyone would want to vote by machine is beyond me? There should always be a paper trail so that no one can steal the election. We are nothing more than a banana republic if we cannot have legitimate elections.

All states should do like in Oregon... we get our ballots in the mail, vote and then mail them back... no muss, no fuss.

These machines are programmed to flip votes. This has been going on for some time. I switched to a mail- in vote because in the very first year of touch screen voting in CA my vote was flipped. The manufacturers, and programmers are known. The DNC and ACLU should demand investigations and prosecutions.

Isn't is amazing that, by my reckoning, that I've yet to see a single instance in almost 9 years of a Republican vote switched to a Democrat vote by the machine. The Feds need to step in here and do some investigating. It is almost impossible to hit the wrong button, but, gosh darn it, it only seems to happen in the Repubs favor when it does.

I saw that a quite a while ago. Scary to say the least. How about the one where a programmer hacked in and 30 seconds later changed the code to cipher off 10% (or whatever % he wanted) of one candidates switched to the other?

Brad Blog, Greg Palast and Robert F. Kennedy Jr and others have shown that these machines are easily programmed to flip votes, to make votes look right on the surface, but flip them in the counting, etc. They will do anything possible to steal the election. We must absolutely revolt against this. Even having a receipt doesn't mean the machine vote counters--and supposedly 80% of votes are counted by machines that can also be rigged by these GOP thugs. People are not imagining--their votes are being flipped either on the front end or the back end! Especially anyone registered Republican who votes democrat can expect that the votes will automatically be switched back as they are easier to "justify".

What stinks is people have been warning about this for years, but the re-pug administrations just say, "Oh, but we invested so much money in these computerized machines--we can't afford new ones."

Also they all say, "This is just an isolated incident." The way the machines are programmed to flip they're not going to do it more than once every 25 votes, so it takes a long time to even become aware of the vote flipping--then "it's an isolated incident."

Curtis made his charges in sworn testimony to a congressional committee, but the MSM ignored the story.
