A local news station in Florida reports problems with machines on the first day of early voting:

People lined up to be among the first to vote at several early voting sites around Jacksonville Monday morning had an extra long wait and some left frustrated when machines at several locations refused to record the ballots.

"It was very shocking to have the very first ballot at 10 o'clock this morning not go into the machine," said state Rep. Audrey Gibson, who hoped to be first to vote at the Gateway location.

The Duval County elections office confirmed problems with voting machines at the Gateway Shopping Center and libraries on Edgewood Avenue, at Regency Square and Webb Wesconnett. Channel 4 heard from voters experiencing problems at other polling places, as well.

"I was frustrated with all the breakdowns of the machines," Westside voter John Lord said. "How long have they had to had this all fixed and ready to go and they knew it was an important election and that there would be a big turnout."

West Virginia voters have reported machines flipping their votes from Democratic to Republican.

It is 2008 and I'm suppose to believe that the USA is incapable of creating a computer system that can cast votesand provide a paper trail?

Oh wait this state is under the shadow of a Republican Gov.(Crist)? As was Ohio in 2004(by Blackwell)? As was FL in 2000(by Jeb Bush)

But hey people that is just an "ol' Texas Coinkadink", hehe heh say the guys in the back room.

Will anyone in FL. find out who was paid (off) to create these machines. As in all things corrupt follow the money! Hold them accountable to the full extent of the law.

I'm voting tomorrow. If the machine flips my vote, I'm contacting the FEC right away to report it. And I'm calling my state legislators and my Senators and Representatives. And then I'll call the press.

The problem with these "isolated" incidents is that they need to be addressed right away before another election is stolen out from under us. NOT IN MY COUNTRY!

Don't panic. Obama has dropped a huge team of lawyers in Florida (thousands of them). He's going to be up for a big fight. And the people are ready to fight too.

This is why PAPER BALLOTS are so important. Better to wait a little longer in line than to worry about your vote being counted.

Surprise, surprise.

Guess Florida vote machine rigging is the October surprise.

Perhaps. But let's really hope it's not the November surprise, right?

We've had eight years to fix this problem. It's disgraceful.

The League of Women Voters should be assigned the responsibility to oversee the systematic inspection of voting machines throughout our nation.

Between Florida and the computerized voting machines in Ohio, I'd say their county clerks should be FIRED.

Of course we all know that the election of a President is simply an illusion of having some say as to our government. The nation is really run by the CEO's of the Major corporations and the shadow government. Even when a President get' s in office they do not reflect the peoples will. They proceed with a whole agenda of their own ... example: most Americans want out of Iraq and want Health care where everyone is covered at affordable rates ... it falls on deaf ears in DC. There is no room in the NWO for "We the People". We are just a pain in the ass to the Illuminati who really run things as they see fit.

Why can't a law be passed where we can only vote on paper ballots? We still only have paper ballots in CA. Yes, I know they take longer to tally, but we can make sure that none of this changing votes is happening inside the machines where we can't see it happening. Paper ballots are the only true way to keep elections from being rigged.
