McCain Hit Up Russian Envoy For Cash

On a day on which McCain campaign manager Rick Davis hinted that Obama was taking foreign money, the Russian Mission to the United Nations has released a standard-issue fundraising letter gone a bit astray: It was addressed to the Russian envoy to the U.N., Vitaly Churkin, at the mission's address, but without his title.

As the Russian newswire RIA-Novosti tells it:

Russia's permanent mission to the UN has received a letter from U.S. Republican presidential candidate John McCain asking for financial support of his election campaign, the mission said in a statement on Monday.

"We have received a letter from Senator John McCain with a request for a financial donation to his presidential election campaign. In this respect we have to reiterate that neither Russia's permanent mission to the UN nor the Russian government or its officials finance political activities in foreign countries," the statement said.

Again I wonder how John McCain and his campaign sleep at night? Do they toss and turn, do the find that they are unable to rest, because their guilt ridden minds and spirits will not allow them the much needed sleep. I know If I was behaving in the manner John McCain is, I would not be able to sleep just from the guilt that riddles my core. I also know that my parents, who have both passed away would be shaking their heads in wonder and shame asking, where did we go wrong, we taught him better, where is his honor. We tried out best to instill on him that a mans word, and deed is what gives him the honor he needs to forge his path in this world. They would wonder why is it that I saw fit to sell my soul, my honor, my reputation, my self respect, as well as my moral, ethical and integrity for the sake of winning. What would bother them the most is they taught me to honor my god and my country and I would have failed in both because of the lies, deception and slanderous insults I have levied against the American people and my competition. They would rather see me loose and keep those values, in doing so I would be able to walk with my fellow man, my head held high full of confidence and self respect still intact.
