McCain Hit Up Russian Envoy For Cash

On a day on which McCain campaign manager Rick Davis hinted that Obama was taking foreign money, the Russian Mission to the United Nations has released a standard-issue fundraising letter gone a bit astray: It was addressed to the Russian envoy to the U.N., Vitaly Churkin, at the mission's address, but without his title.

As the Russian newswire RIA-Novosti tells it:

Russia's permanent mission to the UN has received a letter from U.S. Republican presidential candidate John McCain asking for financial support of his election campaign, the mission said in a statement on Monday.

"We have received a letter from Senator John McCain with a request for a financial donation to his presidential election campaign. In this respect we have to reiterate that neither Russia's permanent mission to the UN nor the Russian government or its officials finance political activities in foreign countries," the statement said.

Ok, seriously. I'll be the firsst to give them the benefit of the doubt that there was no intent to specifically request a contribution from the russians. That said, it certainly shows the lack of professionalism and efficiency of the campaign. If you want to demonstrate executive experience look at who has put together the superior team to run what amopunts to a nation wide promotions company. Neither campaign has been flawless, but look at the level of cinsistency and professionlism of both. A company rises or fails based on its leadership team, a tem that has been put together by the candidate. The candidate must take ultimate responsibility and credit for the quality of the campaign. Senator Obama has more than proved that he can lead. Disagree with his policies or not, that can be no quesioning of his executive experience.

It's also against the law to take donations for elections from non citizens...Obama got in trouble by two brothers in Gaza that bought $3000.00 worth of TShirts. All the address said was Ga. which the Obama campaign took for meaning Georgia. They had to send the money back...because any time you buy from the shop it is treated as a donation.
