I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Daniel Zubairi, a Muslim McCain grassroots organizer who told racist rally attendees in Woodbridge, Virginia that the campaign didn't "endorse that behavior," was for some reason not allowed to talk to CNN about the incident.

Anchor Rick Sanchez said Zubairi was "ready and willing" to talk, but "the McCain camp won't let him do so."

Watch Zubairi confronting intolerant McCain fans at the rally:

Can you imagine a Muslim spokesperson for the McCain campaign? It would alienate the Republican base. No way. Such supporters should be remain in the background and seen but not heard. Diversity should projected but that the extent. And more importantly why would a Muslim support the selfish interest of the Republican party.

Could you imagine what the McCain crowd might have said and done to Daniel Zubairi had he presented himself as an Obama supporter?

QUESTION:... does McCain have total control over what is or is not said on behalf of his campaign?? I thought this incident was "off the cuff" kinda stuff.. Why was the anti-Muslim slants from the OTHER guy not silenced?? ...this is TRULY strange!

Dan Zabairi seems like a good person who handled this situation admirably. Dan, come on over to Obama! We'll stand behind you!

Hmmmmm . . . and Cindy McCain talks about how "dirty" the Obama campaign is.

Dan Zabairi seems like a good guy. Shame on McCain for not supporting him 100%. McCain has his eye on the bottom line -- I bet he is thinking that there are probably more racists than muslims who can vote, so he'll go with the racists. Good old boy Johnny.

So McCain is also a hypocrite. He does not want people to know that muslim americans are working on his campaign. Is it possible that he believes it will cost him votes.

I thought this was about "COUNTRY FIRST."

But muslim americans working on the republican campaign can do your work but they cannot be interviewed.

Isn't that what happened during SLAVERY?

Serves the guy right that the back to jim crow tactics and philosophy of John McCain, Palin and all of their followers cancelled his appearance on CNN. He must know by know that McCain and his group of con artists do not tolerate muslims. They think Zubairi is non-American. The staements and hate rallies that McCain/Palin are fermenting is heading in the direction of civil war in America. It is disgraceful, and McCain in particular should be dimissed from the political arena. And don't feed me this Vietnam story making him more of an American than anyone else. My brother was a foot soldier in Viet Nam and feels that McCain is for McCain.

This guy could have actually won the McCain people some votes. I was very impressed by him and the other people. What the heck is going on at McCain headquarters?

This why we are fighting for receipts for our vote to be sure it's counted. We are calling & emailing our reps, and are going to ask for a receipt when we voice. In fact I insist on one. I get a receipt at a dollar store., but not for the vote WeThe People fought so hard for?

We the People need to take control again. Thank you Dennis Kucinich & Ron Paul. Dennis was the only one to try to impeach Bush/Cheney, but Pelosi would have to be Impeached too since she took Impeachment off the table & gave us this occupation of Iraq & the Depression we are so close to.

...and he could have lost McCain some votes. I bet the top people did some calculation, "let's see, how many votes can we win by looking like we are tolerant of religions, and how many can we lose by having a non-Christian, non-white person speaking for us."

And guess what their calculations said... yep, their own calculations probably said they have a better chance of winning by being the Nazi-KKK-party. Un-freaking-believable.

There is absolutely no reason to rip this guy Dan Zabairi...he seems like a class guy, he handled himself well in that situation and did the right thing...so please don't, even if he is with McCain's campaign.

I wonder how me may feel now though. Not good enough to talk to McCain/Palin's waspy supporters? Don't want to risk sending them mixed messages, right? The hate thing has been working. Gotta keep using religion, patriotism, fear, frustration to manipulate the ignorant masses. In virtually every aspect this McCain-Palin campaign couldn't be more wrong in how they conduct themselves!

I might have been able to scrape at least an once of respect for you Mr. McCain if you had let him talk...but you didn't. I have ZERO respect for you, Palin, and the way the GOP operates.

A once friend of mine of islamic faith, supports McSame. She and her husband are very materialistic and are more concerned with their above average incomes than any other factor. They think McSame is going to help them maintain their superior life style more than Obama. They have benifited from the civil rights movement of the 60s but don't think they should stand up for the poor minorities who don't have a voice. They come from societies with strict caste systems and have no problem practicing it in this country.

So, Dan, why is it exactly that you're campaiging for McCain? Unless you will somehow personally profit from his victory, it seems you might be a bit confused.

Dan Zubairi is not just a "grassroots" organizer. He ran for Congress in 2006 against Chris Van Hollen.

He looks like an intelligent, eloquent fellow. Unfortunately his tolerant views don't jibe with today's McCain campaign.

If the radical extremist base of the Republican Party sees a Muslim working for McCain they'll revolt. It's the faux-Christian base that does the GOTV for Republicans now, through their churches. If they're not 100% on board with the "Christian" party, the republicans lose. And if they see a Muslim spokesperson for McCain, they'll all stay home.

SO in the JohnMcCain America free speech (even when they support him) is verbotin? This is getting scarier every day and I find it hard to believe that the Greatest Generation of men would agree that this man can't speak without permission?!
