National Right To Life Attacks Obama In New Mailer

The National Right to Life PAC is targeting voters through a mass mailing that accuses Barack Obama of voting to "deny care and protection to babies born alive after an abortion."

The mailer, forwarded to the Huffington Post by a reader in Florida, features a smiling baby next to the Obama indictment. It is yet another of many behind-the-scenes attacks on the Senator's abortion record. This past weekend the Republican National Committee sent out a mailer of its own hammering the Illinois Democrat for his opposition to the Born-Alive Infant Protection legislation during his time in the State Senate.

In addition to attacking Obama on this front, the National Right to Life also criticizes the Democratic nominee of supporting legislation to make partial birth abortion legal and force taxpayers to pay for abortion.

Both charges are politically dubious. While Obama is a pro-choice, he voted against banning partial birth abortion because the bill in question would have turned doctors who performed the procedure into felons. Meanwhile, the fact-checking group PolitiFact said the accusation that Obama voted to let newborns die after botched abortions was "false." He opposed the measure because preexisting ones already existed and, again, he sought to protect doctors from criminal lawsuits.

To show the dishonesty in these attacks, if a child is born alive after an abortion attempt it is illegal for any medical professional to deny it care. The hippocratic oath states " above all do no harm" That is why Obama voted the way he did because he knew the law governing doctors would give the child care, it did not need to be legislated.
Stop the crap McCain. If you can't win on issues stop making lies your issues.

I received one of the RNC mailings today. At first I tore it up and thew it away in disgust. After thinking about it a while, I retrieved it and wrote a letter to the RNC telling them to never send me anything from them again. It was nothing short of hate mail and I told them so in my letter. I am returning the torn mailer in with the letter. I also told them that my family and I are all now voting for Obama, which we are, because we are feed up with hate and division. The GOP has lost it's way and is wallowing in the gutter.

These so called Right to Lifers mostly support capital punishment. Many of them support b0mbing$ of clinics and justify ki!!ing certain doctors ....
They also rail against family planning, birth control (for young people), and vote against programs that support women who have children out of wedlock ... more importantly vote against programs which help poorer children (often abused, often hungry)
Last, hardly any of them adopt unwanted kids.

Where were these people when thousands of Iragi babies died in a senseless warr to avenge Poppy Bush's humiliation? Where are they when babies starve to death by the thousands in Africa, in part due to the legacy of christian missionaries that destroyed traditional cultures? Where are they when babies in American cities are gunned down in the crossfire of a drug war?

Until they can start to answer questions like this National "Right to Life" needs to just SHUT UP.
