Palin Stars In McCain Robocall After Calling Them Irritating

Sarah Palin may have condemned robocalls yesterday as intrusive and a drain on people's attention spans, but that didn't stop her from recording her own robocall on behalf of the McCain campaign.

Two readers report to us that they received robocalls starring Palin herself -- one in Wisconsin, and the other in Nevada.

Palin's robocall touted both her and McCain as "mavericks" who have a feel for people's economic suffering, vowed that they would reform Wall Street and Washington, and hit Barack Obama and Joe Biden for not "listening" to the American people.

So did anyone else notice that when she spoke out about robocalls, she said something to the effect of If she could wave her magic wand, Um, isn't a magic wand something used by a wizard or a witch, and isn't witchcraft a bad thing to the far right wing extremist Christians, who are against books like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter?

Hello everyone, I am a proud democrat who have only one concern, and that is the future of my family and loveones. The republican canadate John Maccain doesnt give a hoot about me and my family. He voted with Bush 90% of the time and never cared about the middle class before. Now all of a sudden he cares, "please" its just politics as usual,say what he can to get in office, then when he get their turn his back on us and cater to his buddies,the oil companies and other cooporate giant. John Maccain only chose Sara Palin as his running mate because she can be controlled by him. Why else would he choose a running mate that cant even answer a simple question about what kind of books she reads. Maccain would have been better off choosing Joe Leiberman or Joe the plumber as a running mate. My 6 year old son have a better understanding of American history than Sara Palin. Oh by the way Mr. Maccain, since you seems to address everybody as your friend, I might be evicted from my place soon. Can i stay at one of your thirteen houses? after all what are friends for.

THIS IS GREAT! I can't wait to see how the polls respond in the areas where these calls play. My guess is that having the attacks come in her voice will only make the numbers fall FASTER.

I just received one of those calls and I am on the no call list. I am so angry. I'm not sure what my recourse is but I'm trying to find out who I can call. I found that call very offensive and want to oomplain. I guess do not call list doesn't apply to the Republicans! I am a registered dem.....I wonder if they are targeting dems????

Your recourse is to vote and get as many people you can to vote too.

Otherwise, not sure. In the haystack of shenanigans that are about to ensue, I doubt the robocalls will garner much attention.

Don't feel bad, very few people realize there are exemptions to the Do Not Call list. Political parties and charities are the two biggies.
