Chuck Todd had nothing but bad news for John McCain on "Morning Joe" today. "Lets get realistic," he said, before adding Colorado, Virginia, and Florida to Barack Obama's column. Other battleground states Todd rated as "pure tossups," but then he added, "So what? If Obama is up in these three, and you're hearing very negative comments come out of the McCain campaign about Colorado, Virginia ... and then there's Florida, which has really slipped away from McCain."

"There is no ground game," Joe Scarborough responded. Todd agreed, adding that Democrats were already doing better in early voting, based on ballot requests. "The ground game, it is just absent from the McCain campaign ... At this point, the only state that I feel good about for McCain is Ohio." He posited that McCain could win that state but lose the election, which would be "very frustrating to Republicans."

Read more about McCain's failures in Florida here, and about the campaign's pessimistic outlook on Colorado here.

Whats interesting to me.. is the simple fact when I call the Obama campaign headquarters and ask them questions about policy I am told "they can not answer" when I call the McCain headquarters I get answers.. just strange try it out some time ask "what is obamas voting record on abortion rights" and then you will truely see how "Open" a campaign he really has and don't call me a troll I voted for Hillary in the NC primary... I donated money to both her and McCain. IF he loses a BIG IF I will be embarrassed of my country but I will love on. I wonder how an Obama presidency will aid or hurt my VA benefits.. hmmm His campaign wouldn't answer that either strange I may say!

If you're saying that Obama STAFF couldn't answer your questions, that's a bit different than saying that they could not be answered by one of the tens of thousands of volunteers, who've taken whatever resources they had (hands, feet, a willing cell phone) to offer them for use to help support their candidate of choice.

I understand your frustration, if you were seeking clarification for specific questions that you couldn't find answers for, on the various internet sites provided for that purpose. But just be clear: the problem was probably not that the CANDIDATE does not have answers to your questions, but rather, more likely, that perhaps some of his eager supporters couldn't answer your particular inquiries. (And only you yourself know whether your question was to seek clarification or to create a "got'cha" moment).

Hopefully, in the days ahead, your questions will be answered to your satisfaction, and you'll be pleased in watching the results play out.

Obama has received a B in his voting on veterans issues. McCain is one of three senators who has received a D. Obama has been endorsed by IAVA and by VET-PAC. It's sad that McCain was graded so low since he is a vet, isn't it?

If you use the Google you will see that Obama's voting record on veteran issues is much better than McCain's . Contrary to McCain's claims of a perfect record on vet issues he in fact has received very dismal scores from almost all the veteran organization's . He loves to talk the talk, but he has rarely walked the walk. check here for a summery of his voting record,:

If you don't know the difference between Obama and McCain on VA issues by now,
then you're either a concern troll, or far from an independent thinker.

You could try the Vet's organizations and see what they say.

Poor Chuck. "That would be VERY frustrating". He appeared to add, "to republicans" as an afterthought.

His McCain won't win. Boohoo for Chuck, HOORAY for OBAMA!

In my view, Todd has been right down the middle in his commentary about the polls and the election in general. I know nothing of his personal political leanings but whatever they are, I don't see them in his commentary.

When Obama pulls ahead, McCain stoops lower, as illustrated below in humorous cartoon form:

Enjoy!

Robert Kennedy Jr was on Rachel last evening talking about the foundational and historical efforts of repubs to block dem votes by any means necessary, especially AA, Latinos, the young and the elderly.

They've already purged about 40,000 voters in Colorado. And Bush promoted the Sec. of State in Colorado to the federal level for being the most aggressive in her purging of voter rolls. So now, she's training other repub Secs. of State how to purge for effect.

His advice: VOTE EARLY and IN PERSON. Avoid mail in ballots and absentee ballots, if possible. Although historic, it's better not to wait until Nov. 4. The votes tallied on voting day are more likely to be mishandled "accidently".

McCan't shouldn't feel too badly, he has got one endorsement: Al Qa i da. They welcome a president that will make hasty decisions. I'm sure the American media is too squeamish to publish such a story, but it isn't in other countries.

Nah, other countries are looking forward to working with Obama to truly end te rro r. They know McCan't is just another Bush, who is universally despised and has done more to damage America than anyone thought possible. There are weekly stories about America's sinking international standing, both economic and military. Someone who can unite is definitely needed, and McCan't just ain't the person. He can't even unite his own party.

''As Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States''
Palin the ''Maverick'' grabs her shotgun....If she and McCain begin to spiral downward in the polls....as they will.......The rich and powerful may very likely create a major international military incident.....To allow John McCain to come to the rescue..........

Republican or Democrat....
You will feel a cold chill running down your spine....as McCain and
Palin assume control of the nuclear trigger.

Let this be a lesson to all those who think the electoral map is suddenly going to flip a switch for Obama:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/Presidential_04/2004_County_Results_Final.html

Compare 2000 and 2004...little change...despite 8 disastrous years and an economic meltdown, the electoral map is not going to be turned on its head, I don't care how good Obama's ground game is, Chuck!

ya there's about 50 miles of "real america" in between each person in that red. my "non american" city of about 3 million is OBAMA by a landslide. As well as about 60% of the country that is fed up with the lies, gas prices, integrity, war, jobs, and overall disaster of the republicans.

Unlike your thinking, which hasn't changed, circumstances, the map and the American people have changed. Colorado, Nevada and Virginia are states that have an evolving population. North Carolina and Florida are especially hard hit by the current economic crisis, and the whole country is tired of lies designed to take care of the wealthy and lies that take us into unjust wars. You can now get in your time machine and join us in 2008.

It would be nice if this were true, but one can be certain the shenanigans are going to be far more widespread and far more epidemic than 2000 or 2004...those Diebold machines are going to be firing up some very funny numbers, no doubt about it, and the Obama camp is going to get stymied at every turn in litigation...you doubt me? Wait and see...
