Chuck Todd had nothing but bad news for John McCain on "Morning Joe" today. "Lets get realistic," he said, before adding Colorado, Virginia, and Florida to Barack Obama's column. Other battleground states Todd rated as "pure tossups," but then he added, "So what? If Obama is up in these three, and you're hearing very negative comments come out of the McCain campaign about Colorado, Virginia ... and then there's Florida, which has really slipped away from McCain."

"There is no ground game," Joe Scarborough responded. Todd agreed, adding that Democrats were already doing better in early voting, based on ballot requests. "The ground game, it is just absent from the McCain campaign ... At this point, the only state that I feel good about for McCain is Ohio." He posited that McCain could win that state but lose the election, which would be "very frustrating to Republicans."

Read more about McCain's failures in Florida here, and about the campaign's pessimistic outlook on Colorado here.

Chuck Todd uses the most conservative of thinking, so when even he's saying it's a long shot for John McCain, Barack Obama's chances are looking very good. The question is not IF Barack Obama will win, its HOW MUCH he will win by, and with Chuck's analysis, which is VERY conservative, looks like it's going to be a Reaganesque Obama landslide.

And as far as voting f r a u d is concerned, this isn't just one or two states, the GOP are going to have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to st e a l Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Colorado, New Mexico, North Carolina, Indiana, Georgia, those are WAY too many states, and like Joe Scarbough said, there is NO ground game on the Republican side, unless their idea of a ground game is sending a n n o y i n g mailers and robocalls that are actually turning away voters.

I actually hope Barack Obama l o s e s Ohio and still wins the election, that will make Ohio no longer a "swing state" and open up the door for other states to be swing states. Not trying to turn Ohioans away, but I've had it with Ohio determining the election. I'll be glad if Barack is able to win Ohio and win the election, but even happier if he wins the election without it.

BY WAY OF CONTRAST - THIS IS A NOTE FROM AN OBAMA FIELD DIRECTOR:

"Stay calm - and BE RELENTLESS today. Get everyone motivated, educated, and into the field as quickly and as often as possible...

GET THEM COMFORTABLE WITH A BREAK-NECK PACE. They need to be the cool heads by the time GOTV rolls around...

Report your numbers like clock-work. Call me if you need me. Don't stop until your last shift is confirmed for Sunday...

Barack really is expecting a lot out us - and there isn't much else for him to do. He has placed this election in our hands at this point. It's up to us now. We may never again have our hands on history quite like this again for as long as we live. That makes each hour so so precious. We can slack off, sleep in, and make excuses for the rest of our lives. But today - and for the next 3 weeks... whether we knew what we were getting into or not... we have ended up with people's lives, livelihoods, and dreams for their children - all dependent on our performance day in and day out. This is our one chance at history... our one chance at perfection. Our one chance to live forever. So today - breathe this in... realize that your grandkids will be reading about you... realize that you will miss this feeling very very soon... and win every single hour.

Proud of you in advance for a

I want Obama to win more than anything I have wanted in a very long time but I think we shouldn't be gloating and assuming anything at this point. We have to keep working to get out the vote.

Congrads, doesn't it feel so good! You made your voice count!!! Now get out there and make everyone vote early! I'm heading out to Iowa!! Chicago folks, Obama needs you in Iowa, and he needs everyone to make those calls, call grandparents, and everyone who wants to wait until Nov. 4, that's when the polls can get rigged! Don't wait, vote now!!! If you can! Vote now!

I'm from Alaska and will cast my vote for Sen. Obama tomorrow regardless of the fact that Alaska, which was once leaning toward Obama, is now probably going to vote Republican. But I want to be a part of history and I so admire Sen. Obama and there are a lot of us Alaskans who will not vote for the McCain/Palin ticket.

We're still trying to figure out where they got that 80% approval rating from. LOL

GO Obama! There are lots of Alaskans that love you!

It never ceases to amaze me how a state like Texas that's given us Willie Nelson, Bill Moyers, Ann Richards, Kinky Friedman and Austin City Limits could have a majority of voters supporting McCain. Absolutely amazing.

Obama will win, no doubt about it.

So the question is by how much. Will it be close or a landslide. It's looking a lot like a landslide right now.

And then there is the down ticket races, especially the senate. Will the Obama enthusiasm factor and huge voter turnout (I hope!) translate into a fillabuster proof 60 majority in the Senate?

Imagine a democratic president, a fillabuster proof senate and a large democratic majority in the house. We might actually be able to get some progressive policies passed for a change.

Of course they will be inheriting the worst economy since the depression, so it's going to be a serious challenge.

It's not over until it's over. I am an Obama supporter who is logging a lot of volunteer hours these days. I won't quit until the polls close. Don't get too confident, just get out every vote we possibly can.

If you didn't watch RFK, Jr on Rachel Maddow tonight you might want to find the clip or read his Rolling Stone article. Votes will be blocked.

Don't rest. We have just 13 days to make it happen.

RE: The McCain photo above.

Did they not teach him at the Naval Academy how to properly salute or is someone spitting at him?

I've heard this before, but have seen him on occasion raise his arms in the air above his shoulders. Even my elderly mother said, if he can do that, he can salute.

Due respect, Navy_VET_EOD, couldn't the reason that McCain can't physically salute anymore be due to his POW injuries? That's my understanding; his arms were foreshortened after being broken and bound several times during his Vietnam imprisonment.
I've noticed on occasion that he has particular trouble bending his right elbow without pain.

I read your profile, thanks for your service.

I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he seems to extend his arms above his head all the time. My interpretation of the photo was he was shielding his face from the sun.

It will be closer than Todd is saying. There are states in the deep south and in the middle of the country are solid republican.

As a longtime and ardent Obama supporter and volunteer--I'm sending a big thanks to Hillary for the hard fought and lengthy primary season. This is one of the main reasons that Barack has such an amazing ground game. Democrats have been out there working and volunteering for more than a year--registering PEOPLE to vote! Go democrats!

Hey, I am from Ohio (about 60 miles straight sout of cleveland, rural) and I wonder the same thing! It seems like Ohio is caught in some time warp that refuses to move forward.

But trust me, all us democrats here are doing everything we can to get Obama elected! But, there are some truly racist idiots around here. I know someone that was doing door to door and spoke to this older couple who were registered democrats and they said they could never vote for Obama because it is a "sin" to be biracial!

Another story: Democrats who live a couple of miles from us woke up a couple sundays ago to a large monkey hanging from its neck on their porch with Baracks face taped to its head. Their obama yard sign was trashed and their porch was egged.

Yet, I refuse to be disheartened because I know a lot of "typical rednecks" that are going to be voting for Obama...mostly young and TRUST me I will make sure the ones I know will VOTE!

The Palin Effect.

What a pure bone headed move as McCains first important decision since announcing his run. Whoever he was listening sabotaged the GOP chances right there. Palin ... there's many viable selections and he goes for the goofiest Twin Peakish scenario. Silly, trite and almost demented.

Plus Johnny never really dissed Bush much. He voted like Bush's Shadow. John gave us all the impression that his administration would be Bush 3.

Erratic Behavior might be his biggest negative. Waffle Man.

The gaffes by both Palin and McCain almost make Bush look ... Presidential. Key word here is almost. Looking back, I have never seen such a poorly run campaign ... relying basically on spin, hate, fear and bigotry. Little else.
