Chuck Todd had nothing but bad news for John McCain on "Morning Joe" today. "Lets get realistic," he said, before adding Colorado, Virginia, and Florida to Barack Obama's column. Other battleground states Todd rated as "pure tossups," but then he added, "So what? If Obama is up in these three, and you're hearing very negative comments come out of the McCain campaign about Colorado, Virginia ... and then there's Florida, which has really slipped away from McCain."

"There is no ground game," Joe Scarborough responded. Todd agreed, adding that Democrats were already doing better in early voting, based on ballot requests. "The ground game, it is just absent from the McCain campaign ... At this point, the only state that I feel good about for McCain is Ohio." He posited that McCain could win that state but lose the election, which would be "very frustrating to Republicans."

Read more about McCain's failures in Florida here, and about the campaign's pessimistic outlook on Colorado here.

What executive experience does McCain have? He hasn't run anything - a state, a city, a business - nothing but running for Congress?

Very dismal future for the Good Ole Prejudice Party.

Thank you Alaskan Independent party. If it wasn't for you guys slipping Palin in to ruin John chances, WE the People wouldn't be leading in double digits. For this, We at Obama thank you so much.

Imagine if the public would have been duped again by this divisive party, into voting for even more division.

Barack On Team America, only 14 more days to go.

Yes, Obama should be ahead by at least 10 to 20 points. But McCain's sinking fortunes and poll numbers are more accurately a reflection of the failed Bush policies which McCain has supported 90% of the time during the last 4 years.

Bush has about a 25% approval rating, a number that is unlikely to change for the simple reason that he holds the same 25% which is the solid base that supports McCain-Palin.

Where McCain continues to flail around is in trying to solidify a narrow base of yahoos who would never support a Democrat, never support a black man nor do they care two hoots about the economy or the war. Instead, McCain continues to distance himself from the rest of America that has moved far beyond the narrow confines of the dogmatic riligious right whose main goal is to "christianize" America and turn it into a theocracy. As an example of the extremist positions they hold simply look at the Texas 2008 Republican platform. One of their goals is to abolish completely the U.S. Department of Education. As John McCain might say, "My friends, that is an absolute fact."

Sorry GOP, but America outgrew your insane, divisive policies years ago. If you want change, you need to jettison Neanderthal cave man thinking that is being spouted by McCain-Palin.

Wouldn't it be something if the popular vote goes 75-25 for Obama?

He said that about Sarah Palin today on Hardball after a poll came out that said 55% said she was not qualified.

Strong final ground game, keep up the small (evil per the GOP) donations, and vote early to ensure you are not entangled voting place shenanigans.

I live in Ohio and the whole state is not idiotic. I don't WTF these racist white people here are on about. I'm voting for Obama. About 45-48 percent of the people here are voting for him. If you blame someone, blame the people in the Columbus area, southeast areas and suburbs of Ohio. Those people are ultra conservative down there. The Republicans are trying very hard to disenfranchise voters here. Jennifer Brunner is doing what she can do. She's great.

So true. Racism is a very stupid concept especially in todays world.

To be a racist, one has to dumb down from common sense.

The easiest folks for the government to control are the bigots.

you betcha ... wink, wink.

Columbus is hardly conservative.....but Franklin County (All the area around Columbus)....that is deep red, and very segregated. You see very few African American families in Gahanna, Reynoldsburg,Dublin, Westerville, Upper Arlington, etc.

Head on south and east, past the enclave of Yellow Springs...From Springfield to Cinci, you have a very red area, and as someone mentioned, yes...these are poor people voting against their own interest.

After 33 years in Columbus....I have enjoyed my 12 in California. However, I wish I was still voting there...

Ohio is definitely a divided state. The blue regions are decidedly blue and the red regions are stubbornly red. It is the only state that hasn't changed much since 2004 in its political leanings (at least in reference to the presidential race).

It has been my privilege to work as an Obama volunteer in one of his campaign sites. I am awed by the huge number of individuals who come in to get a lawn sign or a button and, when told they are free, still insist upon making a donation.

People are crying for a change and are wanting to do anything. . .anything. . .to make this happen through Barack Obama.

McCain doesn't even have a "hail Mary" pass any more (Palin). That was intercepted and returned for a TD by the Obama campaign (with interference being run by SNL)....

The Pubs are now suing to try to claim Obama is not a native-born citizen. The reek of desperation hangs over them like a shroud.

They should talk, McCain is Panamanian.

What's he doing running. Obama was born in Hawaii. You know where they sunk the ship in WWII. I guess that's an American state, we bombed Japan for it.

McCain take your Panamanian politics back to your own country.

Ha!

Joe the Plumber said on fox news last night " I once was on welfare, my parents twice!" .
My question to Joe is " Where do you think welfare money comes from?", if taxpayers money helped you climb the social ladder, once you are pretty high up there shouldnt you return the favor, Selfish Joe.

Mega dittos on your sentiment, especially Ohio, where traditional Rust Belt industry is still a big factor. Send a revival of mfg jobs to Blue States.

Obama said Florida lost 470,000 jobs. I bet that's the Bush Columbian deal. Send those jobs from that state to Columbia. Maybe the Gop robbers are picking the countries they want to settle in and are giving the people there jobs as a bribe for their economy, to live away from the US laws that will surely lock them up, when we find all the evidence of treason.
