Chuck Todd had nothing but bad news for John McCain on "Morning Joe" today. "Lets get realistic," he said, before adding Colorado, Virginia, and Florida to Barack Obama's column. Other battleground states Todd rated as "pure tossups," but then he added, "So what? If Obama is up in these three, and you're hearing very negative comments come out of the McCain campaign about Colorado, Virginia ... and then there's Florida, which has really slipped away from McCain."

"There is no ground game," Joe Scarborough responded. Todd agreed, adding that Democrats were already doing better in early voting, based on ballot requests. "The ground game, it is just absent from the McCain campaign ... At this point, the only state that I feel good about for McCain is Ohio." He posited that McCain could win that state but lose the election, which would be "very frustrating to Republicans."

Read more about McCain's failures in Florida here, and about the campaign's pessimistic outlook on Colorado here.

I read that McCain has essentially given up on IOwa, Colorado and New Hampshire.

He's focusing on Missouri, FL, VA, NC, OH, MO and PA.

Which is really a horrendous strategy. Polls have shown Obama winning in PA consistently for months now. From AUgust through present Obama has always lead in PA. His current lead is double digit. And yet McCain still thinks he can win?

Every day he campaigns in PA is a day he isn't somewhere else, somewhere he's more likely to win.

He's basically conceding the election already....

That's Project for a New American Century. It's the NeoCon think tank that created "neoconservatism". Look at their website and you will see a very interesting list of signers to their mission--Dick Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bush, many, many more. This is what some of us have been saying for the past 9 or 10 years as we watched how Dubya came to power. It is completely about total corporate control of the globe, completely Machiavellian, and definitely fits any definition of fascism.

McCain may not have been in on this before, but it is these guys who ultimately picked him to "win" the Republican primary--since the neocons have alienated the true Republican conservatives. In order to get the "base" back of the religious right wing, force McCain to "pick" Palin--completely in the pockets of Big Oil and oh, so trainable as their next little ideological puppet. Doesn't hurt when selling her to McCain that she happens to be young and pretty. I just cringe whenever I see that sleazy smile of his as he talks about her--it's like he is envisioning her sitting on "Daddy's" lap.

But mainly, she gets to be Big Corporate neocons puppet to "control the Senate" (don't take those words lightly. They may have nothing to do with the Constitutional definition of VP, but then Cheney's been making all kinds of changes for Dubya to sign, doncha' know?).

These people are to be feared.

I agree with TruthBrigade.

If you got no ideas, no 'new', if you got no skills and you can't outdo your opponent
and you are basically made of lies and deception

then what ARE you going to run ON?

They got no ground game. But they got "rigged election" game.
They have to rely on that heavier and heavier.

If these jackanapes put as much effort into improving their ideas and their solutions
as they put into smearing and deception and robocalls and voter suppression and vote stealing
they wouldn't need to do all the aforementioned heinous and criminal activities.

But ideas and solutions are not in the ReFoolAgin bag-o-trix. It takes them winning a bunch and governing a bunch before cow-like americans get together in a big enough bloc to withstand the corporate media, rightwing, republican onslaught. This stuff of theirs has worked. A lot. Just doesn't look like it is going to work this time.

Being a resident of Ohio I do not understand why so many of ohioans are so blind to what has happened in the past with our elections,if McBush keeps it close then after the election they will bring in the legal thugs to try to steal what is not theirs.PLEASE OHIO VOTE EARLY AND VOTE OBAMA, no state needs change more than Ohio and Michigan, look at the unemployment, repo, homes, welfare, schools who will close or be turned over to the state, soup kitchens with empty shelfes.THIS IS THE TIME FOR YOU TO TAKE BACK OUR STATE FROM THE LIKES OF MCBUSH AND HIS MOOSEKILLER GAL AND SHE CAN GO BACK TO ALASKA FOR THE WINTER AND FACE HER CHARGES THERE.

Its the fight between the woods and asphalt. The people in the woods are fearful of strangers or anyone different from them...Ohio has a huge rural community it also has several large cities but then have been losing population. So we will see which part of Ohio gets out and votes.

There are NO RED STATES THERE ARE NO BLUE STATES and that Includes ALASKA and Ohio should get it together, and stop the HATE and see that GREEN BACKS, money, is the running force of this economy. And McBUSH is the same, the same as Cheney, and the BUSH Administration and McCain, in HIS OWN WORDS stated that he voted 90% of the time more than most with George W BUSH. The result, has been disaster. Even McCain's choice of running mate, has been a total disaster. We are WE THE PEOPLE.. The UNITED STATES, and none of this red state/bluestate Division started until George W pushed his way into the white house. ENOUGH! ENOUGH, we are facing a financial Armageddon, we can not AFFORD to make another DUMB DUBUA mistake. Forget the race, Remember the man, the Right Man on Nov 4TH and that man is OBAMA!
