GOP Pulling Its Ads From Bachmann's Race, Media Buyers Say

Five days after Rep. Michele Bachmann went on a McCarthy-esque rant suggesting Barack Obama was unpatriotic and urging the major newspapers of the country to investigate anti-American sentiment in Congress, the national Republican political parties are running for cover.

Two sources aware of ad buys in Minnesota say that the National Republican Congressional Committee is pulling its media purchases from Bachmann's race. If true, it is a remarkable fall for a congresswoman who, until recently, seemed relatively safe in her predominantly conservative district. The race had become closer in recent days -- the NRCC had transferred funds from Rep. Erik Paulsen (MN-03) to Bachmann a little over a week ago.

In the days following her appearance on Hardball, however, Bachmann has watched as her challenger, El Tinklenberg raised more than a million dollars off her incendiary remarks. That surge in fundraising put Bachmann's re-election in a far less certain position. Bachmann tried to stem the bleeding by telling the press she was sorry for her remarks. But with the national party now apparently pulling the plug, the situation has gone from bad to worse.

Then she tried to blame Chris Matthews. This whole party is unbelievable. I don't believe any of them are capable of the truth.

It was absolutely scary to hear this nut suggesting patriotism tests and which hunts with a calm, seemingly rational demeanor, when inside she's obviously more like CVN65 and, I'm afriad, a lot of other Americans.

We are NOT a very tolerant country.

When right wing nut jobs are given the latititude to express their real feelings garbage falls out of their mouths. Otherwise everything they say is rehearsed and sanitized and that is how they fool the voters. Speaks volumes about the need for journalistic probing and the patience to reel out the rope so they can hang themselves. Michelle Bachmann is just one disgrace among many in the Republican party.

Why doesn't Bachmann go on a rant about McCain's FLDS pedophiles in Colorado City, Arizona who prey on underage girls?

Yes, indeed, let"s discuss un-American activities. You all know already where we should start. There is an organization whose charter is based on hatred of and secession from the United States. Its founder, Joe Vogler, literally preached terrorism for and hatred of America (that is, the United States), and when he finally died, according to his wish to "never be buried under an American flag," he was interred in Canada.
The organization is the Alaskan Independence Party [www.akip.org].
For many years now, Sarah and Todd Palin have been solid supporters of the AIP. Earlier this year, Gov. Palin made her annual speech in support of the AIP. Her endorsement is on youtube at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwvPNXYrIyI
and the same speech can also seen on the AIP website given above.
Any source of information on the AIP will confirm all the facts about the party's and its founder's principles, and the Palins' long-standing support of this party.
You betcha, Sarah!. Now I'm gonna be thinkin' that all this time you've been pallin' around with them there terrorists and America-haters.

On a recent speech in Nevada, Palin said that everything about Obama should be researched such as with whom he was connected etc. Now we would like to know the same of this woman. She happily spoke at the AIP conference of which her husband Todd was a member until as recently as two/three years ago. Why isn't anyone talking about that. It is there in black and white. Today the couple is being deposed for the TROOPERGATE scandal. Hope some more skeletons fall off the closet which will keep the republicans' mouths shut for a while.

Open letter to Ms. M. Bachmann:

There are times when a politician strays away from the script/talking points and just tells the American people just what he/she believes in, what his/her values really are, what he/she would do if he/she could get away with it. Thank you, Ms. Bachmann, for your sincerity. Now it is up to the voters to decide if you, Michele "The Inquisitor" Bachmann gets to keep your seat in Congress. How refreshing, in deed!

Honestly,
A voter who wished he lived in Minnesota

I realize that this will date me but there is an old saying that if you lie down with dogs you get up with fleas. Unfortunately the Republican Party of which I have been a member for half a century has decided to embrace the lowest of the low. Adding together Bachmann's, Palin's and the rest of the crap of the crop group that call themselves Republicans IQ and EQ you still can't break double digits. These creatures appeal to the lowest base instincts of humanity the same way the Nazi's blamed all the problems of the world on minorities. I wonder how these people will cope when minorities become the majority?

Yeah, it dates you. My version of that old saw is you lie down with dogs, you get up with STDs. A Minnesota versioon might be you lie down with dogs, you get up with an investigation into your evil communist ways.

Bachmann wants money. The RNC is short of it, having decided to give a bunch to Palin and other Pubs. They decided to cut their losses with Bachmann and spend their remaining money in worthier ways, like making sure everyone on the podium is wearing designer duds.
