Jessica Alba's Eco-Friendly Abode

For Jessica Alba, motherhood means eco-friendly living - and plenty of couch-jumping.

"It's kid-friendly, animal-friendly," the actress, 27, tells In Style magazine of the newly renovated L.A. canyon home she shares with husband Cash Warren and their 5-month-old daughter Honor Marie.

"You can jump on the sofas, walk around barefoot," she says in the magazine's November issue. "There's nothing off-limits here."

Claims of "eco friendly" do not make it so. I'm not getting enough information here to make a decision. What really make it eco friendly? Why did they renovate? Did they do majore damage to the environment by completely reworking the house then make a few minor adjustments to call it "eco friendly"?

Solar? Insulated well? Energy saver bulbs? Why did it need renovation? I hear they have a pool. Do they have a heated pool? IS that eco friendly in California? What vehicle do they drive that kid around in? The article was too frilly and just pure politically correct fluff for us to really know what's eco friendly about the place besides a bit of furniture and walking in bare feet.

Eco-Friendly seems to be more of a badge than a reality for many I think because they live a high life style and aren't about to live the "eco friendly" life they want us little people in the fly over states to live.
