McCain Uses C-Word In Classic Freudian Slip On Stump

As we've seen all through the year, whenever the pressure of campaigning and pretending to like people gets to be too much for John McCain, he repeats the words "My friends" over and over again. It's sort of his way of saying "Serenity now!" and allowing the black feelings to be pressed deep, deep down into his gullet where they will surely remain and never come bursting forth in a spittle-flecked outcry of rage and nuclear destruction. However, on those weaker moments, John McCain has another word he's fond of repeating, as he does in the clip below, before correcting himself.

Why does McCain support the radical views of Jane Fonda, who slathered her affections on the Viet Cong like a trollop?

This seems like much ado about nothing to me, as it's obviously just a slip. Why not instead report about the time when, in front of several witnesses, after an important campaign speech by McCain, in the back room Cindy McCain ruffled her husband's hair and said, "It's getting a little thin up there," and his response was, according to the report I read, (and I may not get every word verbatum, but the last word I remember clearly, because it shocked me), "At least I don't pile on makeup on like a trollup, you litle C**T". Now THAT was not a slip.

Probably not because where would we hear about it? I don't watch FOX Noise, and it probably wouldn't be reported here on HuffPost. I'm no apologist for the right and their media-baiting, but I have to admit that if Obama did make an innocent slip of that "strength," we probably wouldn't see it.

I agree that this stuff is silly season. It ranks up there in triviality with flag lapel pins.

ON THE OTHER HAND, I have heard that story about McCain calling his wife a c***, and NOT by mistake, and I wish someone could confirm that one. That's a horse of a different color, and very much goes to character and temperament.
