Palin Voice Coach Billed As "Get Out The Vote" Expense

Gone (at least for the moment) was the Bushian pronunciation of "nuclear" as "nook-you-ler." Present for the first time was a leisurely, even playful cadence that signaled Sarah Palin's inevitability on this grand stage.

Shanks' name does appear in McCain's campaign finance report.

It's reported as: "Operating Expenditures / GOTV CONSULTING."

As in "Get Out the Vote."

Have to remember that in an interivew with her father on her life. Parents where both teachers and moved to alaska for jobs. They lived her first years out in a home with no TV, no newspapers and hunted. Those formative years where not very average to say the least. Then her mother joined the wasilla church because she was probably going crazy in the woods. Her whole childhood was this church community. You can understand why she is lacking in very fundamental speech. You can take the girl out of the woods but you cant take the woods out of the girl.
