Shanks's work with Sarah Palin was as evident as it was unseen. Gone, by the evening of her convention speech, was the squeaky register of Palin's exclamations. Gone (at least for the moment) was the Bushian pronunciation of "nuclear" as "nook-you-ler." Present for the first time was a leisurely, even playful cadence that signaled Sarah Palin's inevitability on this grand stage.

Shanks' name does appear in McCain's campaign finance report.

It's reported as: "Operating Expenditures / GOTV CONSULTING."

As in "Get Out the Vote."

It's like we are watching a day to day version of What's My Line. I am middle class and know my abilities. If we are honest with ourselves we would admit McCain/Palin just doesn't have the abilities we want in our Pres./VP Candidates. And neither foot the bill. We need a new path, a new strength. Obama/Biden have what we need. We just have to not fall for the negative calls, ads and speeches the McCain camp is spinning. We know in our heart they aren't true. Let's make this step and unite.
