Palin Voice Coach Billed As "Get Out The Vote" Expense

Shanks's work with Sarah Palin was as evident as it was unseen. Gone, by the evening of her convention speech, was the squeaky register of Palin's exclamations. Gone (at least for the moment) was the Bushian pronunciation of "nuclear" as "nook-you-ler." Present for the first time was a leisurely, even playful cadence that signaled Sarah Palin's inevitability on this grand stage.

Shanks' name does appear in McCain's campaign finance report.

It's reported as: "Operating Expenditures / GOTV CONSULTING."

As in "Get Out the Vote."

This is the only way the Republicans know how to win. Instead of putting a "real" candidate out there, they take a blank slate and then try and make that person into someone they think will sell to the American people. GW never was, and never has been a cowboy of any sort. They modeled him after the nuclear cowboy Ronnie Raygun.

He doesn't even own that ranch in Crawford, it is owned by the RNC. It is all Hollywood type props.

One of the main problems with Palin's speech is that nasal accent and voice like glass breaking in your head. It takes a lot of work to redirect a voice from going exclusively through the nose. That coach is earning her bucks. So far, though, Sarah has the same untenable screech. Have to talk loud to shout over the gum chewing, popcorn stuffing, belching, f@rting rednecks she attracts.
