Rumsfeld Getting $46,790 Portrait On Taxpayers' Dime

Behind every great man or woman in Washington there is a great painting. As the Bush presidency draws to a close, portrait artists can expect a surge in business from Cabinet secretaries and other elite political appointees who want to preserve their legacies -- and their images -- for posterity.

[...] and then, At the upper end of the scale, the Defense Department awaits the expected February completion of a $46,790 portrait of controversial former secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld. It will grace a Pentagon hallway lined with portraits of his predecessors, as well as one from Rumsfeld's first stint as defense secretary from 1975 to 1977, officials said.

His photo will go into the bunkers with others to be preserved for the future finders from other places searching for life on other planets. In the bunkers they will find the last remains of a specie which was so hopelessly obsessed with their death weapons they at the end of their time turned them on themselves and at each other.
And they will find the vast new groups of bacteria and micro organisms furthering and continuing
the process of life on a grain of sand in the milky way system.

The photos they have found, they incinerate, for they know the photos display the murderers of vast numbers of once living organisms.
And so will end their existance for all eternity.

I could save the taxpayers a lot of money by doing this portrait. I just take a piece of white carboard lay if flat on the ground then take a dump on it, let it dry and its ready to hang up.

Why not just take his pic on an iphone and call it a day and save the taxpayer's all that money.

He can go to a local artist and have that scraggy face painted. I hope someone writes a tell all book about Cheney and Rumsfeld's roles in Iraq. It will be very, very interesting.

Rumsfeld will go down in history for sending troops into Iraq:

1) Not enough troops. 140,000 in Iraq vs 500,000 for Desert Storm

2) Ill equipped. No body armor, old equipment. Most of the troops receive donations due to lack of supplies they get.

3) Troops have been lied to and morale is below the desert. 6 month rotations turn into 12 months to 18 months... Plus, the rotations are multiple. Come home, go back, come home, go back, come home, go back.
