Joy And Elisabeth Spar, Whoopi Denies Feud (VIDEO)

On Wednesday's "The View" cohosts Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar sparred over politics and it got uglier than usual. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg was out sick and unable to intervene, but she defended them Thursday.

Wednesday Elisabeth defended a McCain shirt she wore Tuesday, said she contemplated voting for Obama and told Joy to drink more "Barack Obama Kool Aid" after Joy called Rush Limbaugh a terrorist.

Thursday morning Whoopi was promoting her children's book on "Live with Regis and Kelly" and was asked about the stories of feuds. She downplayed such talk, and explained that women fight differently, "It's never personal." You decide, both clips are below

I had just turned to the "View" when I heard Elizabeth make the "Obama kool-aid" comment. I bet she wouldn't have made that comment if Whoopie was there. Whoopie would have whooped her butt.

I'm really getting sick of the Kool-aid references, why is it ok to make light of the jonestown massacre? If I see a huge NFL tackle can I say that guy just got "twin towered" without anyone blinking? Go ahead and try it and see what happens.

I think you are right that we should not use that reference to drinking the Kool-aid. It seems that people may use it without even realizing what they are refering to so we should all give the use of that phrase a little more thought.

I agree.. Besides, the Jonestown massacre involve folk who had no need for living the tenet of "hope" out, followed a religious leader of the right, and were fed talking points from the pulpit... And the FOX that lead them asked that they follow him in drinking to their deaths...

Maybe she needs to take a look at what she's drinking and who she is, really for God Sake!

Hmmm.....s­eems like all that tension has been since Elisabeth has been on the show. She gets away with childish temper tantrums, stupid of stupid statements and sarcasm.

I thinks she's toast when her contract comes up.

I have to wonder if they talked to her about that T-Shirt...­...the "show" is not suppose to be "supporting" any particular candidate and Elisabeth gave a wrong impression.

She also insulted Michelle Obama at the RNC Convention, broke a trust and they wonder why the Obama's haven't come on again?

Whoopi had better loosen-up those braids on her head!!! Women may fight & then go pick-up the kids. BUT, we/they don't forget!! And many of us hold grudges & play "Get-Back". Those women are putting on the smiles to keep their jobs. But, believe me, there ARE lingering bad feelings. I stopped watching The View because of Elizabeth. Got a "Breaking News" email from ABC News this morning stating Sara Palin had asked Elizabeth to accompany her to two campaign stops this weekend. Two dumb-a** peas in a pod!
