Joy And Elisabeth Spar, Whoopi Denies Feud (VIDEO)

On Wednesday's "The View" cohosts Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar sparred over politics and it got uglier than usual. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg was out sick and unable to intervene, but she defended them Thursday.

Wednesday Elisabeth defended a McCain shirt she wore Tuesday, said she contemplated voting for Obama and told Joy to drink more "Barack Obama Kool Aid" after Joy called Rush Limbaugh a terrorist.

Thursday morning Whoopi was promoting her children's book on "Live with Regis and Kelly" and was asked about the stories of feuds. She downplayed such talk, and explained that women fight differently, "It's never personal." You decide, both clips are below

They claim there is no real feud, and, perhaps it is not as bad as it seems, but I saw them today and they seemed to be walking on egg shells. They were trying to be carefull not to get started with the fighting and holding back the comments. That poor Elizabeth only gives blondes a bad name. She is willing to go against reason and repeat and really make herself believe the nonsense from the McCain Campaign. She is sad, really sad.

Elizabeth is so far gone its sad. She really wants us to believe that Obama could of had her vote. Yeah right. This is somebody who was talking about bad about Michelle (which for me is enough for me to beat her down). She never has any facts to back up what she says. I hope the democrats make a clean sweep!

There is so much hate and disgust in our nation now, and the women on The View are reflective of it. But my issue with the program is that it needs to decide if it is a "Ladies" show, with talk about bras, breastfeeding and shopping tips, or an intelligent dialogue between people. With such disparity in the importance of the topics, it can't be both.

Barbara Walters tries to smooth over ruffled feathers all the time. She can't be neutral and be significant at the same time.

Joy can't be the voice of the democratic party and then crack a "Shecky" joke, just as Elizabeth can't be the mouthpiece of the Republican party and then chit chat about how much she loves her coworkers. It is a ridiculous set up, and encourages viewers to tune in only to see who is going to bare claws first.

Women need to move beyond the cat-fight-­but-we-lov­e-each-oth­er phase of relationships.

I get so disgusted when I watch the View. I believe Elizabeth is irrational! I see this effecting the View in the long run and they will lose a lot of viewers when the election is over. Just my opinion.

Whoopi's either not seeing what's going on, or she's spinning it. Either way, though, I find it insulting to women to imply that they're going to put aside deep ideological antipathies to swap recipes and talk about "the kids." The positions speak to how those kids will be fed and what kind of future they'll have, and if Whoopi doesn't think that her colleagues, and her viewers, can make those connections, she needs to get a clue or two herself.

I wish they'd sell off Elizabeth to Fox, and get in a real thinking conservative with a good sense of humor. Having counterpoints is excellent, but not when the intellects are so mismatched.

I am convinced that Elizabeth gets briefed in the morning with talking points from Rove or McCain's people. Have you noticed that she finds ways to bring up the republican talking point of the day. She has been invited to the White House for Republican events and has basically made a place for herself in the Republican party. Why the View tolerates this is beyond me. I never watch the show anymore, I just visit here and glean what I can.

It is extremely annoying when she sits there and gloats over her visit to the White House or talking with Hannity - as if that is something to be proud of. She is just a shallow and nasty person in my opinion.

Me and a ultra conservative friend of mine haven't spoken in months and at my workplace, I know who the rethugs are and since my boss is an 0bama supporter, they pay lip service when he is around and agree with his disgust with Joe the shyster. But when he's not there, its another story....

They know how I lean and I don't tolerate any BS, specially not colorful racial (any disriminatory) names and I see them exchanging vulgar jokes and pics of Obama and other hate propoganda againt blacks and hispanics on email and their cellphones. I have been excluded from these for a long time now. Oddly enough, there is a hispanic I work with who revels in all this (bigtime rethug)

I have but little faith in these exit polls, I have alot more faith in G_W's ability to re-rig the elctions (for the third time)

Elizabeth is the total reason I do not and never will watch the show and after all the remarks she made at the RNC about Michelle Obama I cannot stand her even for a second. That was way below the belt to talk that way about a guest on the show and take it to the RNC, not ethical at all, she should have been fired.

Whoppie, can try and cover up the feuding, but it is real. Elisabeth is an immature
hateful person. I haven't watch the show almost a year now because of Elisabeth
repulsive behavior and mindset. Actually I've been boycotting ABC for a month now
my sister told me Elisabeth is very excited and honored to introduce Palin at some
luncheon. ABC who claims not to take sides in this election allows Elisabeth to be
a GOP pawn Elisabeth continues to cross the line of discussing issues to out right
endorsemen­ts.I also heard Elsabeth wore a McCain T shirt this week, and was told
not to ware it again.
