LeBron James And Jay-Z Hosting Rally, Free Concert For Obama

CLEVELAND — NBA superstar LeBron James and Grammy-winning recording artist Jay-Z want people to get out early to vote for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

James and Jay-Z will host a rally Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland which will include a free concert by the hip-hop star.

James attended a Cleveland rally earlier this month to encourage people to vote for Obama. He's also contributed $20,000 to a committee supporting the presidential nominee.

Oh and 20,000 potential Obama voters were at this rally. That is huge in this swing state.....

Jay-Z got in the best line of the rally, perhaps the best of the Obama campaign: "Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther King could walk, and Martin walked so Obama could run. Obama is running so we all can fly, so let’s fly."
Kudos to LeBron and other athletes who openly support Obama. Their help can energize the youth vote, especially in all-important swing states like LeBron's Ohio.

If you are in the Cleveland area GO! He gave a full concert when he went to Detroit and Miami for the registration drives. Full band, jumbo vid screens and all. The only thing missing was Beyonce. It was a great time!!! I love that celebs are putting their money, time and talents are in a very visible way this time around.

any other ohians vote early? i'm not sure what to do...i'm afraid they will get rid of it or something...i don't mind the lines or if it rains...i've never missed an election and nothing would deter me from voting in this one, but i just wondered if any ohians could share their early voting experience...let me know...
