Miss Virginia Offended By McCain Campaign Comments

They've done it. The McCain campaign has gone and pissed off Miss Virginia.

When McCain senior adviser Nancy Pfotenhauer divided Virginia into the DC suburbs and "real Virginia," Kristi Lauren Glakas felt extremely disappointed. Glakas, a recent three-time Miss Virginia title holder and whip-smart University of Virginia scholarship honor student, said the comments were divisive.

"What offended me and made me sad about those comments," said Glakas, a resident for many years in northern Virginia, "is that I've been to every county, every part of this state. What's best about Virginia is its diversity. The people, the geography. We have every class, every race, an amazing immigrant population... Virginia is the birthplace of America. To say that part of Virginia is not part of the real America is just offensive."

No, let's have some common sense and think a little deeper rather being spoonfed by the Obama-mania media and his campaign. None of Barack's promise or McCain's promises have happened yet but we are considering our votes on our expectations are. Look at the Dems' record on taxes and their warped view of what the middle class. Do you REALLY BELIEVE that they will stop tax increases at $250K of income? To them, $259K is the super-rich.

Yes, most people don't care what Miss Virginia thinks.

The only reason why an Oba.ma administration would raise your taxes is all the "buzz" in finance these days -- we're going broke thanks to the finance industry lobbyists who wrote (or neglected to write) the regulations for the past 28 years. And yes, the politicians who let them in the doors on Capitol Hill are from both sides of the aisle.

One thing you won't find on the left is the unified, hive-mind style of thinking we see in a certain political party.
