Beachgoers will no longer be able to park for free along the lakefront under the Chicago Park District's proposed budget for 2009, officials said today.
Hours for swimming will also be cut. Currently swimming is allowed in the summer from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Under the proposal, swimming will be limited to 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. as a result of cutting lifeguard shifts.
