If I were an Obama supporter and he ran as nasty a campaign as McCain's, I would've lost my taste for Obama and he would've lost my vote a long time ago.
I don't know if anyone knows this, but I just heard on the news that Obama's greadmother has cancer.

And to think Brad Blakeman actually said on MSNBC, proud as a peacock, that the real outrage is Barack Obama "taking a 767 campaign plane to go visit Grandma." As salon.com noted, Blakeman not only mocked Obama, but also denigrated his grandmother Madelyn Lee Payne Dunham, choosing to derisively calling her "Grandma".

Why did he continue to campaign after he learned his grandmother was "gravely ill"?
Possibly he has another reason to go to Hawaii? Seem strange that he would go 2 weeks before election. Why not before? Why no mention of her illness before? Perhaps a visit to HI is pressing now that the issue of his birth certificate has become ominous?

I am just returning home from a Democratic Rally that was held in my hometown in Pa. The Steelers owner Dan Rooney along with Franco Harris the running back from the 70's Superbowl teams and Robin Cole one of the Steel Curtain Linebackers all gave phenominal speeches for Barack Obama.
We all have Black and Gold Steeler Jerseys that said Obama 08 .
There were over 500 people attending the event. This is a heavy Republican area of the State. But I talked with the head of the Democratic Party in the State and he said they talked to over 290 people going door to door in another part of Pa and all but one said they are voting Obama. Eight Republicans said they are voting Obama.
It was a wonderful uplifting night.
Obama don't worry, Spend time with your dear Grandma. We have an army here working for you night and day. And its an honor to do so Sir.

It was so neat to meet those guys. I have been a Steeler fan since I can remember. Franco gave such an inspiring speech.
Mr. Rooney told the story of how he really didn't know anything about Barack but when he went to hear him speak at a gathering in Pittsburgh he said I simply knew that I had met someone very special, the likes of which I had not met since John Kennedy.

Buffy, if you feel the last 8 years have been wonderful, that's your given right but don't denigrate those who are striving for something better. I don't believe Sen. I have never donated to a candidate in my life other than checking the box on the tax return, but this man like Kennedy is so inspiring I had to donate, we have become lazy oil dependent people, and yes I am guilty of it too. Trying to get ahead in corporate america as a single parent, I did let the television pacify my children just a little bit longer than I should have in order to get my work done. I bought the latest video games so they could play them and pacify themselves, though it was not for ill intent, I started out giving them the material things that my parents did not give me, my children were going to have better. But what I did not give them was a sense of charity, looking out for the next person, how to conserve, and I see them now as adults wanting to have everything material in their lives. Not cutting back on driving when gas prices were so high, wanting to have it all. Since Barack has been running these same men and women my children are now engaged in the political process, asking what they can do for their country, registering to vote for the first time some of them, being conservative, going to political rallys, asking themselves how they can be better people, and I tell you this was inspired by our next president Mr. Barack Obama, this country needed an uplift, thank you.
