Lisa Madigan: 'We Could Have A Lot Of Improvement In The State Of Illinois'

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, who's considering a run for governor in 2010, isn't exactly giving Gov. Rod Blagojevich a ringing endorsement for a third term.

Asked Thursday whether fellow Democrat Blagojevich should run again, given his 13 percent approval rating in a Tribune poll, Madigan offered the following: "I'm sure the governor has many things on his mind and whether or not he ends up in a position where he decides to run for governor remains to be seen."

Those comments came as Blagojevich battles an ongoing federal corruption probe into his administration. Not only are authorities looking into the finances of Blagojevich and his wife, Patricia, but they recently subpoenaed records relating to John Wyma, an inner circle lobbyist friend.
