The McCain campaign has authorized another vicious robocall that claims Barack Obama and Democrats would cut off funds for the military, have accused American troops of "war crimes," and pose a threat to national security.

Two readers from Wisconsin reported receiving the call, narrated by Orson Swindle, a fellow POW and McCain friend, mid-afternoon Friday.

"Democrats attempt to cut off crucial troop funding," goes the script. "They accuse our troops of war crimes. And Senator Biden predicts Senator Obama will be tested. A weak president will indeed be tested. Obama and Democrat's politics endanger American lives. They are not qualified to lead our military and our country. When you vote, vote for the team that puts leadership, character and country first. John McCain."

A recording was posted on the website StopPoliticalCalls.org.

The text of the robocall includes some positive words about McCain himself, including note that the Senator was endorsed by over 300 military generals and officers. But it is hard to argue that this message -- that Obama and the Democratic Congress would be a danger to the country -- is not the most incendiary yet to come from the Republican ticket.

As always, if you have any insight or information (or, preferable, recordings) let us know.

I am really getting over this, McCain has not respect for the American people, and obviously not respect for him self. GIVE UP MCCAIN! You made you bed, not lay in it. McCain new the direction this counrty was going, Barack Obama was correct in saying McCain is erratic. Right now he will say/do anything to try to get one extra vote, even sell his soul and make changes to his core beliefs. We don't need a president like that.

They are saying dems cannot lead, we need Reps to lead up into the future. Well, we see where that took up these past 8 years. What a joke, and Sarah Palin, she could not lead this counrty out of a wet paper bag. Give me a break, McCain needs to conceed now and stop embarrassing himself and out country. Then we need to ban Sarah Palin from politics.

Finally, Please vote no on any gay marriage ban in your state. We need to end unequality and discrimination in out counrty. We just want to be treated as equals! Hate is not the answer.

Thanks,

OBAMA/BIDEN 2008

Isn't a CRIME to lead a country--countries!--into a war based upon a LIE? Isn't it a CRIME to have caused the DEATH of thousands of soldiers and tens of thousands of civilians due to that lie? Is it written somewhere that America is infallible and need not answer to this? The inventors of this tragedy should be tried in a War Crimes Court. Of course, that will never happen. But one thing can't be prevented: Frying in h e l l. I never talk like that, but that's what those liars deserve.

When did Obama or the Democrats accuse our troops of war crimes in the current conflicts? Some Democrats, appropriately or not, have accused W and Cheney of war crimes, of lying about WMDs to get us involved in Iraq. My husband is in the National Guard and reads every Army publication and every piece of news about the military that he can. He's NEVER heard anything so absurd as Obama or the Democratic Party calling our troops war criminals. Indeed, my husband (who started out a McCain supporter) now prefers Obama and other Democrats who are running, in part because of their dedication to the needs of the troops both in war and once they come home. John McCain voted against a better quality of body armor for the National Guard soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanastan---and the equipment our soldiers have is often outdated and unsafe.

This military family is ashamed of the antics of the Republican party this election and we're all happy to be voting Obama!

GObama!

Where does John McCain gets off that we owe him???, that he is entitled to be President???? W. has proven to his father that he is a screw-up. Why should we have to suffer more at the hands of McSame ? To prove what to his dead father's spirit?..........McCain go back to Arizona and thank God that you are even breathing at your age.......

Just got another robocall -- this one was disguised as a poll. Then it launched into an attack that Obama has taken money from Wall Street, blah, blah, blah, blah. I can't give you the whole spiel because I hung up. I'm now going to go make another donation to the Obama campaign.

I have been watching the hard right by viewing Fox as much as I can stand anyway. I like to see what the whine channel is up too.. I also just watched a movie that hit me so hard. It remindes me of the McCain Machine. I think you can figure out what Character remindes me of McCain real easy.. The character sings If I only had a brain... Ok.. Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My.. That is what every sound bite from Fox covering the McCain Machine sounds like to me.. I really do feel so sorry for McCain .. At one time I really think he cared for the common Joe.. But no more.. And its apparent he has never cared for any women... Nuff Said

I used to think the McCain campaign was the absolute worse presidential campaign I had ever seen since 1968. Even worse than Dole's in 1996--another grumpy, stiff old war hero. Both just lurched from tactic to tactic, with no overall strategy, or vision for the country. That's when I thought that McCain was trying to win.

Then I realized that no man who seriously wanted to be president could run a campaign this incompetent, and politically tone-deaf. It's too comically pathetic. The Republican want to lose because they know they cannot solve this mess. Bush isn't the slightest bit concerned that he'll go down as the worst president in history. He can't even fake it. Tax cuts, and earmarks (McCain's only ideas and passions) don't even begin to address the complex issues we face. They just want to pack up the loot in their saddlebags, and get back to the hideout. They're just pissed the credit crunch hit before February, and forced them to have to publicly repudiate their failed economic idealogy, and take responsibility for a global financial, and economic debacle. They're just going through the motions, and making every mistake they can think of to guarantee a loss. It's obvious. They're still one step ahead of us.

RNC: We The People are no longer the scared, vulnerable, dumb-dumbs you manipulated on September 12th, 2001....when we were hurting real bad. You took advantage of our pain and tricked us into IRAQ. Now you're trying to trick some folks into a McPalin administration. It will not work. No you can't, no you won't and no way no how!! We are not afraid.

McCain is pathetic and deserves to go down as suffering the worst loss in
GOP Presidential Election History. The entire GOP deserve the same.
